My old AB from Steve Delk, probably one out of the first 50 pieces or so. I can't tell how old it is. Probably 20 years or so. Feels like older than time itself, really. I have been on many adventures with it, including a 300km hike north the arctic circle. After 10 years it had been turned inside o...

@Michaelson so true
Regarding the leather, I have to disagree on the veg. tanning here. I am working with veg. tanned leather for more than 15 years myself. This jacket, in my opinion, was made from chrome tanned leather which most likely had been colored brown on the surface.

I just accidentally stumbled upon this post. I asked for a made-to-measure jacket and also (here ...

I wanted to do that too with my wested 1998 years ago. The majority on this bord advised me not to do it, so I gave up the idea. Till I did it anyway. So far, I tried rabbit-, sheepwool- and beaver felt aswell as cotton and straw hats. Of these for the hot weather straw (if not to densly woven) is unbeatable in hot weather. Unfortunately, it tends to break quickly and can not be easyly stored away. I got used to wear felt hats also in very hot sea...

I think if I would tell the folks at wested that I need the gusset for better arm movement and not for screen accuracy, they would try to make the gusset for this purpose and wouldn't just cut a piece out of the exsisting arm (which would make it even shorter).
