Re: Fed IV in Florida Heat

I'm here in Tampa and wear my Fed IV almost every day. Even through our latest brush with the edge of a hurricane. About the only time I don't is when doing yard work. Then I find it is a bit too warm.

Could always try Hats Direct
http://hatsdirect.com/cgi-bin/products. ... edora+Hats" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They have a couple that look pretty close, but depends on the color you're wanting.

Re: Does anyone know who's doing the new Freddy Fedora?

Not sure about the first two movies, but some of the later ones always reminded me of Stetsons. As for the new one looks like Barons has "a" hat in the new Elm Street, but it doesn't say it's "the" hat.

Being 6' 8" & "big boned" :wink: , I'm not exactly lanky, but I do suffer from this problem. After lots of trial and error I just started getting my stuff from Magnoli, and BANG, problem solved :) But still it would be nice for us larger folk to have some more options too. Regards...

I like the lid man. Very nice. The bash may not be LC SA, but I think it works very well on you. And don't worry about the fed and the Hawaiian shirt thing, Harry Anderson's been doing that for years, and so do I on occasion.

Get the Magnoli. It looks as screen accurate as any I've seen and you cannot beat a shirt that is tailored to fit you exactly. I own 2 of these and I love them. Hey CJ as a fellow wookiee, I would suggest the Mag-Bag/ strap combo. The leather is fantasticly soft, and well sealed. I've had mine about two months, worn it everyday, been drenched in sweet and rain, and not abit of bleeding. Also the length is pretty good for us taller folks. I'm 6'8'' and my ba...

I recieved my Magnoli MK VII on Friday, and decided to wait till after a weekend of use to post my thoughts on it. Here goes..... it's GREAT!! I too wrestled with this question before shaping my Fed Dlx. as I'm a big fan of both hats and came to this conclusion. I think the Raiders bash is the ultimate for an adventure hat, but to me dosen't seem to fit a dress hat as well as the Crusade bash, I mean look at the Venice peir, that's classy!...

Sorry to hear about the mix up. I don't know of any official type places for gear over hear (only been hear six months) but in the town I'm in there are alot of little tailor shops that can custom make things for you. So you could take your shirt to them and have them make you one with long sleeves....

I took my fed which is normally a little lose and gave it a slight turn. That helped get the Raiders brim, but then I put the foam in it to downsize a little and BAM! there it was "the" Raiders brim complete with swoops and dips. Now all I gotta do is de-stiffen the brim a bit and beat it ...
