Which pants should I buy from the reproductions, as in not LL Bean or Wal-mart but Noel Howard, Wested, etc..

NH. Just because the Wested haven't quite gotten the rear pockets right yet in my opinion. These pockets on the original were pointed, whereas the Wested bum pockets are more rounded. Aside from that, you can't really go wrong with either.

I'd recomend the Magnoli ones, myself. They look quite accurate plus with the custom sizing you can't go wrong.

While we're on the topic, has anybody done a durability test on the three brands (Magnoli, NH, Wested)? I need something that looks Indy but will stand up to briars and suchlike.

Don't forget, you can also get my pants in a heavy-weight cotton. These are also machine washable, and have a heavy twill pattern to them, so they'll certainly hold up better to serious adventuring. ;)

Kind regards,
