They wanted him to have a 1911 backup, but used a hi power because the 9mm blanks were more reliable and it looked close enough. So how about a double stack 1911?

Actually, I figured out a new way to do ribbons, more like what was done in the 30's and 40's, but found a way to do it with current ribbon stock. I don't have that problem anymore. I will fix that one for free if you like, just cover the shipping.

The straw was treated, more for shape holding than wetting but ith the same treatment. It is a natural straw, so water doesn't bother it as long as you don't mess with it too much while it is wet.
