First my apologies as I'm not much of a Gear-Head, oh I've got a (sort of) shirt and a cheap-o Fedora and some semi-realistic boots. However, unless it's Holloween or there is some reason I rarely wear the hat or shirt, now the boots I use alot. Whenever I want that style of boot, sure. The Jacket I...

It's Easy To Reverse

 I don't have any photos to show but I just lace my side strap backwards so the loose end is under the strap and between it's self and the jacket. A slight bit tricky to do and snug up but since it needs only be done once it is not a big deal and it keeps them there unsightly ends from flappin...

Old Goat--Satin Sleeves--Cotton Lining

I don't wear my TOD every day (although I do wear it a whole lot) but I've had it now for 3 years and as yet nothing has failed. Now I've had Levi's that lasted 10+ years and Levi's that lasted one, in general I like Levi's so that's what I buy. Wested makes a fine jacket and it sounds as if they ma...

Got My Goat

I got the TOD which is just a slightly longer cut, in the Goat. Guess I've had it for 3x years and it's well, tough as goat. I reverse the side straps and have them tucked in (not screen authentic) but I prefer the look. If "I" had it to do over I would get an American zipper, but that's j...

A Men's Department Will Work

I just went into my local Department Store, Famous-Barr went to the mens section and had the man measure me for a sport coat. I tried on a few to confirm his measurements asked him to write all the information on the back of "his" business card and said I would return with my wife as my wi...

Knifeshop is a Cool Site

Over the years I've bought a few "automatics" from the Knifeshop and they are a good company to deal with. If you know what you want you can find quality knives at decent prices. They ship fairly quickly and although auto's are really not legal mine were sent marked Kitchen Cutlery and arr...

Decker's Brown Wax

Although Zappa said "Brown Shoes Don't Make It" when I got my Deckers from J Crews I used plain dark brown shoe polish to both darken the leather and (mostly) the white stitching on the shoes. It did not darken evenly as I gooped it on more so on the seams. However, I thought this gave a n...

 Not to confuse the Memphis Bell Jacket was NOT on Ebay just on the "Wested" site. I was just sort of looking through Ebay I have a "few" things I routinely keep an eye out for but "Indy" stuff is not really one of them. However, I plugged "Indy" in and...

Wested On Ebay

Greetings all, have not been around too much, happy owner of Goat Wested for over 2 years now. I had cruised by Ebay and noted that "Wested" had 19 available "Raiders" in goat. He noted they were your standard coat sizes and the price is just a shade cheaper than a custom order, ...

TOD "cause I ride a scooter!

I like the slightly longer cut as it is often my "Scooter" jacket. Not being a true "Gear-Head" I sort of wish I had requested an "American" zipper, why the British do things on the funny side of the road I'll never understand. Also since I ride often I also wish I had ...

Thanks all for the tip. I ordered a pair of these shoe Saturday and found them on the porch Wednesday. I did get the size 9 as opposed to an 8 1/2 as I have a very wide foot and that seems to have been a good choice for me. I'll know more about fit after I break them in a bit, they are very stiff. I...

Stafford Poplin Field Shirt

Well, it's just a shirt I got for my Halloween "Indy" outfit. If you use "Google" search just type in "Stafford Field Shirt" It seems like a nice basic "Safari" type shirt. It does not have the real Indy type trim down the front, it list for $36.

Stafford Shirt

Not a real gearhead, but since finding y'all I seem to be heading down hill  I got a "Stafford" shirt for Halloween and for all intents it's fairly nice, as I recall it was $36. So my question is how does it rank with those who know  . By the way it's very comfortable, I find ...

Boot Size

I also ordered these JCrews Decker boots. I've read that the size is right-on however they list the width as only Medium. I have a wide foot and normally wear an 8 1/2 wide, so I tried the size 9 as I've found that my toes get smashed in a short narrow (for me) shoe/boot. Have any others here had ex...

Wested Goat Passes the Spill Test

Today seemed like much to nice a day to be cursed. Yesterday I got drafted and stuck at the hospital till well after midnight, it's my job. Today however, the sun was out and the temp was almost 70 (I'm off work) grab my TOD jacket, jump on the scooter and off to the range. It's packed with hunters ...

For the little it's worth, I just went to a local men's department and got measured for a suit coat. I'm about a "44 short" fairly big shoulders and neck for a little guy. Sent the exact measurements to Wested and the coat fits perfect, no muss, no fuss.

Wested Liner

Greetings, I'm new here myself. Not a major Indy freak but shall we say involved. I got a Wested Temple Jacket last month. I ride a scooter at times and the longer jacket is nice. I got the the goat skin with satin sleeves and cotton liner. It's very nice in all respects, Peter job is first rate, I ...
