I've been tossing the idea around ,for some time now, to buy a Wested, probably LC style, but am still debating on which skin and which color are the best. I need some recommendations.
Also, are liners available for these jackets for extreme cold weather? I live in PA, and it gets quite chilly here in the winter months. The Wested would be my main jacket.
Wested liner question.

Wested Liner
Greetings,
I'm new here myself. Not a major Indy freak but shall we say involved. I got a Wested Temple Jacket last month. I ride a scooter at times and the longer jacket is nice. I got the the goat skin with satin sleeves and cotton liner. It's very nice in all respects, Peter job is first rate, I went to a local store and got fitted for a sport coat and sent Peter those measurements, fits perfect. As to a warmer liner, I asked Peter if I got an A2 down the line could I get it in a "Warmer" version than the Indy Jacket. He sent me back an email that said just ask for the "Quilted" lining when you first order the jacket and it will come in a warmer version (now I'm not sure what that means ) and there will be no additional cost. I assume this can be done for a Raiders too.
Cheers/ Rick

Frankly I’d be surprised if Peter was referring to a “Quilted” lining for an Indy leather jacket if that’s what you mean, since he doesn’t seem to have any interest in adding that option to the more practical cloth version for cooler, and more inclement weather (much to my dismay. ...grumble ...grumble)
Military type jackets, like the A-2, typically have the option of coming fully lined, with zip out vests, or even full pull out linings.
However I would be more specific in asking what this “Quilted” lining is made of, since I don’t know exactly what that would mean either. Better yet, I’d ask if a specific type of lightweight lining could be used, such as Thinsulate, Primaloft, Polartec, or I suppose even Nomex (if you really need it) which are typically used for these leather jackets to provide maximum warmth without adding unnecessary bulk or weight.
Of course you can always purchase a separate insulated vest of ANY kind including the bulky down filled ones providing you can stuff it underneath your jacket or not have it hang out.
