My favorite, of all of them is the Stembridge S&W from RAIDERS, cracked & chipped grips and all! That one looked like the "tool" that it obviously was!

Pilot, I fully understand! I own more .22s than any other firearm...and enjoy shooting them more than any others! I'd love to find one of those 999's! My Dad had one when I was little, and I remember watching him and my Mom plinking with it.

Smith & Wesson Model 22 Classic

I was in the Cabela's store in Buda, Texas (south of Austin) just before I left to return to Iraq this time. They had a S&W Model 22 Classic, 4'' barrel with the shrouded ejector rod, and it had a lanyard ring in the butt of the grip. I had not seen this model with a lanyard ring before, but the...

Been quite a while since I've had an opportunity to visit the Forum! Good to see a lot of the old familiar names are still here. And I'm still hanging around here in Northern Iraq! Oh, and here's a pic of my S&W Model 22...not quite Indy's revolver, but close enough for me! Ron http://i71.photob...

Thanks,

I have tried it on several of the new S&W's and it wasn't a problem, but there was something "different" about the feel of this one. It worked well, but I just didn't like the "feel." I think I'll stick with buying older N-frame Smiths!

To All: it's very easy to have the .455 chambers in your H.E. 's cylinder bored out to take .45 Colt and .45 Schofield rounds. I know this as I have had it done before. The revolver I'm about to purchase, which is a close ringer for the Bapty revolover, has already had this done to it.
