Tip's asking price for this conversion will be in the $375-$400 price range. If you want to talk with him, give him a call at 830-935-3338.

Thanks Ron! He seems like a nice fellow. I talked to him about having my HE2 converted when I first got it, but decided not to. If you get a chance, could you snap a top view, I'd love to see how he did it.

The sad part is, I didn't get to shoot it before having to leave to return to Iraq! Wheh I get home the end of August, I'll let you know!

Hey Ron, What a coincedence. There is a 'modified' mdl 58 on gunbroker right now. It's a thunder ranch 57 or something with adj. sites removed,which looks cool,but has that awful round butt. It's up over a grand though. How did you get the old front site on the 28? BTW, my English grips will fit a mdl 28. I truly think a pair would make it look,well, you know. regards,hanson.

Hi Mark! No, I'm not home for good...in fact, I'm writing this from sunny Mosul...where the daytime temperatures are just slightly less than required by most recipes to cook a roast! As far as shipping the revolver up to you....well, let's just say I'm planning on hanging onto this one!

Minnesota, good to hear from you! How's everything up in the North Country?

Hanson, I haven't seen that model 57...will have to take a look. I am going to put the English grips I bought from you on this Model 28. I have sold off my Model 22-4...just couldn't get used to that new-fangled lock and the way it made the action feel.

I have tried it on several of the new S&W's and it wasn't a problem, but there was something "different" about the feel of this one. It worked well, but I just didn't like the "feel." I think I'll stick with buying older N-frame Smiths!

Ron, the gun on 'broker is actually a 58. It had a huge rib on top that was removed and an extremely short pinned in front site. Still the round butt makes it look like a eurotrash copy of shttp://nas4.atlanta.gbhinc.com/GB/052590000/52590462/pix2794248093.jpgomething

Ron, it is listed as a mod 58. it was still there the other day. let me see if i can send it to you from there, although i don't think either of us would be happy with it. regards, hanson.
