Mishaelson, I pm'ed you about the Triple Lock I found, but after talking with the shop where it's located, I'm not sure it's a good investment. HOWEVER...I found an almost mint condition Brazilian Contract 1937 S&W in Houston that I'm seriously considering buying!!! After seeing the H.E.'s at Olde Town Station, it's just piqued my interest even more! The problem will be if I'm "brave" enough to cut the barrel down to 4"!!! I just might leave it at its original 5 1/2" length...not really Indy-correct, but period-correct, nonetheless. Oh, how I love those old S&W Hand Ejectors!!!!!

The one I saw in a shop last spring (which I didn't have the money for) felt good with that length. As you said, Michaelson, it was well balanced and didn't need to be shortened. The more I look at them, the less I'm inclined to want to cut down the barrel, too. The only answer would be to purchase a second barrel for the sake of cutting down, and leave the original intact!

Personally, if I were paying for one of those Smith and Wesson beauties, I'd just order up a custom holster from El Paso Saddlery myself. They've made all my other flap holsters, and they're just great! They've been around since the 1870's, so there's some history behind that company too! High regards. Michaelson
