Re: Aldens 405's fit
Hello, I had my feet sized at the Alden Store in Washington DC and measured 9.5D on their "Brannock Device", the sales lady said that would be a 9D in the Indy boot, since the Indy boots are designed to accommodate an orthotic. Without an orthotic the size 9D boots fit my feet correctly. H...

I stopped by the Alden store in Washington DC this weekend to pick up neutral boot cream and cedar shoe trees for my newly acquired 405's, the sales lady added an extra pair of laces no charge. While browsing around I spotted an original pair of canvas lined 405s in chocolate brown on display for $4...

I picked up the same jacket (US Made) a few weeks back; the slim fit is perfect since I wear it under my body armor, for fire protection, when flying helicopters (rotary) here in Afghanistan. That’s why I chose the heavier steer over lamb or goat. I started off with an XL Long but exchanged it for a...

I’m really pleased with my US Made US Wings Steer Hide jacket. I’m 6’1” which is kind of on the border between a Regular and a Long. I’m very pleased with the classic lines of this revolver. The mechanical modifications aside I wish they had put a little more effort, any effort, into duplication original markings. This revolver is a bear to shoot with the original “splinter” grips. I’d recommend replacing them with original “N” f...

Since dry cleaners are few and far between here in Afghanistan, I was curious how Indy may have dealt with his laundry and cared for leather while on the road.
