Shoulder bag; it's very useful when doing things with the family as we have two little ones.

Re: Bullwhip used to make a connection with someone

Hello and Thank you for sharing!
I happen to be a parent of a 4 year old who has been diagnosed with PDD/NOS, and I can tell you that I live for little breakthroughs such as this. I also know how difficult it is to find good help; this family has been fortunate enough to find you :D

Cheers,

I too have been following this saga and I share the anguish all of you are experiencing. I went through something similar about 12 years ago....it did not end well for me. That said, does anyone know if Mr. Roberts had any other interests and was/is perhaps a part of some other non-Indy related onli...

Re: My Del Carpio Raiders II

Thank you all for the kind words! I'll post an updated pic or two when it's a month old :D I took it out for a "test drive" today and found that this whip cracks quite easily, plus the 'loop' seems to travel down the thong much, much quicker and smoother than my other whip (which is an 8 f...

Re: Here's a question for you all!

In my humble opinion, the ToD whip is distinguished from ROTLA in that it appears to be older, and because of it's age and use, the portion of the handle closest to the heel/butt knot is darker from use (attributable to the oils from the user's hand) while the portion nearest the transition knot is ...

Re: For old time's sake..

That is a very fine piece of functional artwork; it is clear you are one of the blessed few to have this talent and skill. To be even reasonably good at this (and other crafts for that matter) requires intense dedication. Perhaps your children will pick up whipmaking one day?
You set a fine example :)

My Del Carpio Raiders II

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share pictures of my 10 foot Del Carpio Raiders which I received today. This whip is going to see regular use, and I plan on taking periodic pictures of it in order to capture how this whip ages. Here are some pictures of it new, courtesy of Bernardo: http://img715.i...

Re: Todd's Whip - 8ft or 10ft??

Hello & Welcome!
I have always felt the 10 footers look best when coiled and/or hanging from a belt. My first "indy" whip was an 8 footer (not one of Todd's), but in time I found myself longing for a 10 footer....

You might be able to contact Mr. Benjamin Scott (aka The Whip Artist) if you haven't already; from what I understand he uses spring steel as the handle foundation in the bullwhips he makes.
