Yes I got one and it looks and feels fantastic. Closest to the Raiders in my opinion. Unfortunately it is not very tough so I don't wear it for the rugged everyday wear. I don't even put anything in the pockets. Nice one to have.

I read somewhere that shoe polish was used on the original raiders jacket.

Has anybody tried using dark brown shoe polish on their predistressed cowhide?

Does it change the color permanently?

Would it ruin the jacket?

Maybe there will be a new surge of interest in the jacket after Indiana Jones 5 comes out. A new jacket to analyze? Who knows. KOTCS brought attention to the hobby, did to me.

The SA jackets do fit weird in my opinion. They have a special look about them for sure, but I recommend, for a normal real world fit, the Wested signature series. I was just comparing the photos with the jacket and the color is way less reddish in real life. Must be the light blasting on it and the mobile phone camera. Much darker in person I must add, really changes color depending on the lighting.

Can't wait to wear it outside.

Nice job, not easy to pull off. I like the layered effect you did, looks natural. It shows out the brown color underneath too, that goat is a great leather. Dig it.
