Get the Wested Goat. It´s an awesome jacket. Ask for one made in the UK. In my opinion, they are the best.

I don´t have an A-2 by Wested, but I saw one in Peter´s shop. I thought it was quite an awesome jacket. I think the one I saw was in horsehide. Sorry, I don´t have a photo of it.

The Fit
I´m a 10 1/2 and the 405´s I received recently are 10 1/2 as well. I find them to be a good fit if not a tad large, good for a normal to thicker type of sock. I´d order the size you are. My experience is it´s pretty true to size. I´m super happy with mine.

Hi All, First off, I´m glad to hear about Michaelson´s delivery. Seems we have a lot of happy campers right now, except maybe Mechanic. Might actually be a good thing that a guy named Mechanic wrecked his car...I mean, it appears he might know how to fix it! Unfortunately I´m out of donations at the...

I ordered from Schmidty because A) He´s a gearhead/forum member and understands our affliction B) He has a great reputation from all the posts I´ve seen 3) He´s one of the nicest guys I´ve ever met (on the phone but hopefully will meet him in person someday) and 4) In a major coincidence, a guy that...

Bufflehead, I think the question poll was involving the "best year round LEATHER", not simply "jacket". Correct me if I´m mistaken. With that said, I´d have to agree with most who voted and say goatskin. It´s strong, stops the wind, repels rain, and is light and warm if used with...
