Wearing your jacket
When you put your jacket on are you ever just blown away, thinking wow I'm wearing a jacket like Indiana Jones, someone who has been a hero to you since you were a little kid, everytime I put it on it's magic.Anyone else feel this way or do I need to be put in the padded room?

Know what you mean
I know what you mean. When I slip on my Indy Wested Goat, I "feel" like Indy. I sort of feel like I walk different, talk different, and have a sense of inner adventure that I don´t get with any other piece of clothing that I own.

My Indy jacket will always be "my favorite piece of gear." I really wish Autumn/Fall would arrive so I can wear it everyday! Since my Novapelle ROTLA arrived I put it on every night and check myself out in the mirror.
I compare this experience to the Christmas of '88. I was 12 and recieved a "cool, new bicycle" but there was over .5 meter of snow on the ground. I had to wait 4 days before I could take my bike out and ride it.

My thought is more of appreciation, that the guy who made them for the films has extended his services, and will make them for hobbyists and enthusiasts alike. In a way, it is a chance to own a piece of movie history, though a few times removed. Through the research and persistance of a few, the end result is that we can own one also.
Now hitch your whip to a wheel base/frame, and hang on tightly!

I wear one made in America and don't care who made it as long as the quality and look is right. I think it's fantastic that the internet has allowed us to find a jacket that you could spend your life trying to find in shops, etc and never get there.Texan Scott wrote:My thought is more of appreciation, that the guy who made them for the films has extended his services, and will make them for hobbyists and enthusiasts alike. I have both, and you're right, these are excellent, quality offerings, but I think that we should give credit where credit is due, also. Peter had a hand in making the originals, and even though he is a movie costumier, still practically bends over backwards to make sure a customer is happy with their purchase.
