I'm 5'9.5", 175 pounds, and wear a 42R jacket. The XL fits perfectly. Probably a little looser than Indy in Raiders, but how I would like the jacket so I could wear a thin sweater underneath.

I wear a L in Todds shirt however, as the XL was MUCH too loose. Go figure :P

I wear an XL and I am a bit smaller than you. 5'9.5", 175, and wear a 42R jacket. The XL fits me quite nice, which for me is just a little loose. The sleeves come down to the base of my thumbs, and the waist of the jacket is a bit short, only an inch or so below my belt. So you would need AT LE...

Cool. Did you guys incorporate the little "turn" to get the brim to warp, or does it naturally dip in the front and back with the Indy bash? Cause my brim right now sorta swoops UP all around unless I wear it a little off the center (turned on my head, not cocked gangsta style :P

I'll recommend a nylon whip. I have one from rjallen here on the site. Was right around $100 and works pretty well, though I do not yet have a leather whip for comparision. The 8" length seems about right and I have yet to feel underequipped with it. Plus in my muggy, swampy climate I have few ...

I agree, the Todds Standard is CLEARLY the best choice if you want a reasonably priced SA costume jacket that as a bonus can work as a lightweight jacket. If being Indy is a just a one night thing, then you can probably acheive the same effect with a much cheaper alternative, I know I wouldn't spend...

I didn't even consider the dominant eye. Cross-eye dominance is not uncommon and unless you are a shooter, you may never realize it (and even many shooters just assume they aren't any good). You can easily check. Just point at something across the room with your dominant index finger. Hold steady an...

I don't think a whip could do much of anything PHYSICALLY to a bear, mainly as they could charge so fast I doubt anyone short of a master whipuser could get a shot in. I agree with "thefish". Even in my short time cracking I can already tell that having the whiplash you in the face would be extremely painful, and perhaps permanently blinding. But the whip is an EXTREMELY specific TOOL, with a very fixed range, and needing a lot of space to employ. Any of...
