Looks like the Demand of Destiny has forced Thomas to pause new orders again. I really want to save up for another. Maybe a Masterpiece this time.

Based on your criteria, it seems to fit your bill. I'd say, go for it! It certainly isn't screen accurate! But Stetson of course did provide a hat for Temple of Doom, so that's kind of cool. Now, personally, I'm not wild about the way they show the brim or the button on the ribbon, but if that doesn...

In my experience, Thomas was a pleasure to work with, and I absolutely adore my Temple of Doom. I can't even imagine how nice the Masterpiece version must be. I'm going with a jungle/Raven bar clean look too! I'm not a big fan of the cowboy curl on the idol Grab hat unfortunately, even though it's still epic. Superb choice! And iconic! It was the reference used in the movie poster: http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=71976&hilit=+amsel

Thomas from AdVintage suggested one for my hat, which while the right size for my head, is not as oval shaped as my head. I'm very hesitant to do so, because I have no experience with such things, and I'd be afraid to deform the lovely shape that it has. Steam definitely terrifies me. One thing I do...

Good decision. If it's within your budget to go with a custom fitted hat (Steele & Jones) made to your liking, that's almost always preferable to an off the rack hat, no matter how lovely. I have a custom AdVintage hat made of beaver felt, and it is truly out of this world, but it's the next lev...

Is water even necessary? I'm sure if you wear it around the house for a week or so with the sleeves bunched up like Don Johnson then the wrinkles will probably work themselves in. Or am I way off the mark here? I've found it quite easily begins to bunch and wrinkle on the forearms , but it's mild. ...
