Re: NEAD DESPRIT HELP WITH PLATING MY STOCK WHIP HANDLE!!!

Hi Caber, There are different patterns that can be used for 8 plait but the standard herringbone pattern is to to start with 4 strands on each side of the work. If starting with the right side, reach between the second and third strand on the left side and around back to grab the top strand on the r...

Re: Indy movie bullwhip sounds in .mp3?

Hi Ron, If it doesn't have to be sounds straight from the movies, I have some .mp3's of me cracking some whips on my site that I posted late last year. A friend recorded them on a professional DAT recorder and they sound pretty darn good. Look under the heading A Fun Visit and you should be able to ...

Re: Jumping in: My first whip, at least, that I'd show in public

Hi Keepay, First off great job on the whip. I can't add anything more to what Franco has mentioned regarding the whip itself. As far as bolsters, the other practical aspect is cost. Kip is much less expensive than 'roo. By using it to fill out and shape the whip, you've brought the price of the fini...

Hi Robby,

I really like the idea of all three volumes together in one package. Sorry to hear of the
legal problems but as you said, it offered you an opportunity of being able to reshoot.
I look forward to ordering it soon. Thanks for the update.

Hey Lauren,

That whip looks great! I really like the look of the handle. I also like the knots
you weave, very even and precise.

Re: Is it a bad idea to store a bullwhip in a display case?

I think you'd be fine storing your whip in that fashion. You want to keep them
from extremes i.e. a closet/dampness or direct sunlight. As long as the display is
on a wall that doesn't sit in the sun all day, you've got an ideal and sharp looking
storage solution.

Re: David Morgan No Longer Braiding, so?

Hi Will, I had a correspondence with Mr. Morgan back in the mid 90's and he was gracious enough to answer some questions I had sent him by writing his answers on the paper, diagrams and all. That's class and that is David Morgan. I'd say Mr. Morgan is like the favorite teacher to many in regards to ...

That is A LOT of whip! I concur it does take some time getting used to a longer length whip but to add to it the extra weight of the Jacka style, well, you could probably market it as a new workout routine. Kinda like Indy style Pilates. :)

Regardless, it is a great looking whip. Congrats!
