I actually just had the opposite. I took out my Todd's, which I wore all last fall and spring, and now it seems way too big. Now, I may have a lost a bit of weight, but it looked ridiculous on me this morning. It's tough because I love that jacket!

Yep, my Aldens heels are (or were-they're pretty worn now) exactly the same. So if it's a design flaw, Aldens are flawed as well.

Same experience. I've worn mine every day and each day they're more and more comfy. I couldn't care less that they're "indy" boots...I wear aldens for my back, but those need a resole soon. So, I was hoping Todd's would be another viable option and so far they're awesome. Thank you so much...

Yep, had my Aldens right next to them. It's a bit tough to compare bevause my Aldens are sooooo broken in and naturally distressed and the Todd's are so new. I'm anxious to see how the heel and sole wear because my Aldens are needing a resole. They do appear to be a massive improvement over the old ...

Got mine and they seem really nice. They fit well...a little more snug than my alden's, but I'm sure they'll break in nicely. Oh, and the smell is wonderful...just like the old shoe store my dad used to take to when I was a kid.

Wow. It's been awhile since I purchased any Indy stuff, but seeing how I wear my Alden's every day because they help soooooo much with my back pain, I'm going to give these a shot. Hopefully, they will support my back the same way...at least while I have my Alden's re-soled! Thanks, Todd!

I don't know, I'm in south-east Washington, and it has been in the 80's and dry as a bone. It's only 70's today, though, and perfectly blue skies. But I guess that's Washington for ya.

Update! Well, the jacket has been hanging in my garage for months now, and I did the whole sit by a fire thing, and well....it still stinks. Now too bad, though. I've worn it around outside, and I don't notice the smell anymore unless I jam my nose into the sleeve. The inside doesn't stink at all......

Sorry for the lack of an update. Well, I thought the smell was pretty well gone until it rained. Once the leather got wet, the smell came back...and quite strong. I've had it hanging outside for days on end, and while some of the smell has vanished (again), I can still smell cigs. I may have to try ...

So, thanks to this thread I've been wet shaving for the last week with my SCS "Refined" soap, my Merkur hd, and "Refined" aftershave...and I love it! I signed up over at badger and blade and have learned a great deal. I'll never go back now. Thanks, guys!

Well, I just ordered another in a size smaller. I ordered an xxl because years ago that's what I needed...now that it's more of a true xxl, it's too big. 'Course, my gut's a bit bigger, but xxl may still be too big. Since I got an insulated one, it will be perfect in the winter for layering. So, hop...

I should also add that if you are planning on distressing it by sandpaper, acetone, etc. (don't hurt me, Michaelson), then I would definitely save the $50 and get one of these.

The only problem with mine is about a 1/4" spot on the bottom of the front pocket that isn't stitched. That's all I can see. Even though I got an insulated one (and yes, I checked the "no" box, and it even says on my receipt "no insulation"), it's not really a problem. I now...

Oh well, I have another lightweight lamb for warmer weather, and this will be nice when it's colder. Well, _, I think I know of the coffee method...does it involve a dryer and beans? I do like coffee, so if you have another method, I'd give it a shot...although I can hardly notice the smell anymore. Great, now I want some coffee.

Okay, so after trying baking soda, saddle soap, wash machine, fresh air, febreze, and now a professional cleaning...it still stinks. BUT, not hardly noticeable. The best solution was the cleaners. Update of sorts... -I tried baking soda in a bag....not much help. -I tried airing it out for several days....helped, but still stinky. Without going custom, you could try a u.s. wings jacket. There are several to choose from, and for the most part are quite roomy in the arms and chest. New Smell Update! Getting cigarette smell out of jacket?

I recently got a wings goatskin from another member and I love it...but it smells heavy of smoke. I did a search but found nothing. Anyone know of a way to get that smell out? I've tried just airing it out, febreze, dryer sheets, but nothing works. Help!?!

Looks great, Weston. These jackets have the most amazing drape right out of the box. How do you like it compared to the antique cow? To me, they are just two completely different animals (pardon the pun).

While there you should check out Pike Place Market and the waterfront (and the original Starbucks across from the market). There is always the Woodland Park Zoo, the EMP, Seattle Art Museum, Pioneer Square, the Underground tour, a Mariners game at Safeco Field. Lots to do. Louie is a great guy to lo...
