This is really interesting stuff Mike, it would appear that there is two pocket styles in DoD then. In 1969, it appears the jacket has the regular slit pocket. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240716/4f5fb4a718ad14d3aad6afc62d06027f.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240716/33097e72b5d5d441b61...

I see that the buckle debate seems to have been settled, but is it commonly accepted that the lining was polyester/satin and not cotton now? I can only speak from personal experiences. Having seen and handled both a screen used TOD (Noel Howard) and LC jacket (Smithsonian) I can confirm that cotton...

Harrison’s height being less than 6 feet needs to be put to rest once and for all. Regardless of age and loss of peak height or back injuries, the man is still at least 6 feet. I am exactly 6 foot, and the shoes I wore had a 1 inch heel. We can debate if we see 6 foot, one inch or more but certainly...

Were the Sam Browne buttons exclusive to the Raider's strap? Visually, the two prong buckles are slightly thicker on the side where the country of origin is stamped on the buckle rather than the traditional buckles which are even on both sides.
