I bought my Model 22 for $750 (it was $790 after taxes...I've spent more on a rifle once or twice, but never so much on a pistol!), so would expect a nickel model 29 to be well over $800. Ugh... sounds like I'll be going for a 12-gauge before I start on one of these bad boys. Oh well. Nice to see y...

There are lots of threads on this subject. I'm sure VP will chime in eventually. I think Indy would have looked a lot like Josh Bernstein really. The one thing we tend to forget is Indy's sense of style. He really was a well-dressed archaeologist by any standards. I recall a quote along the lines of...

You can email him here:
kevin@endicotts.co.uk
I'm going to get in touch with him, about both Mk-VIs and Mk-VIIs. I'll let you know what he says, as far as availability/pricing goes.

Current Availability of Vintage Mk-VIIs
I know I haven't posted here for awhile, but I'm really starting to need a new bag (current surplus musette is starting to get a bit rough, and is pretty big too) so I was wondering if any bags are currently available. I haven't kept up with any news lately, and I don't know who is sold out and who ...

Kodiak, do you have or would you consider a repo bag? I have heard others make a good bag but mine is from Magnoli. The fabric is much softer than an original, like it's already broken in and all the specs are the same. Solid construction. The only thing I don't like about it is the rings where you...

Well well... aren't we feeling like burning down the rainforests  Since we are all giving our opinions, I've never really understood the idea of buying dirt, smearing it all over your bag, pulling out a few seams and then using it, or even worse setting it up on a mannequin. Just use the thing...

Mk-VII vs. Mk-VI?
Just wondered if the Mk-VI was as durable, useable, etc. as the Mk-VII. I'm pretty sure I can get one of these bags from Endicotts, and it looks pretty good for me, as I would probably be using it just for hauling stuff around in the woods.

I've been looking around and I found this bag, similar to Indy's gladstone bag: http://www.duluthtrading.com/store/briefcases_bags/toolbags2/32417.aspx?feature=Product_1 I also dug through my closet and found an old tweed jacket that looks a lot like Indy's. I'll post pics of it a little later on. I...

It doesn't have to be exact as you are going to resize it anyway. I'm just missing the point of having an exact pattern. Basically so it doesn't look like a blind baby put it together with Elmer's Glue and a safety pin. Murphy- you might just want to skip the bidding process and buy one from Todds....

Re: Indy's luggage?
I'm sure you guys know the luggage Indy uses in the "they want you to go after it scene" in Raiders, which takes place at Indy's flat. A flat usually refers to an apartment, Indy lived in a single family home. That was his luggage that he was packing. It is period correct. Luggage then wa...

The taupe color in those LL Bean trousers has been discontinued, to the best of my knowledge. I have a pair of chinos from them in Heritage Khaki, and they look very good for the early scenes in Raiders and a few ToD scenes as well, at least from the best I can tell. Of course, here's a linky- http:...

Can anybody give me some tips on making a MKVII strap? I've got the rings I need to use to attach it to my close-enough-for-Kodiak bag, but I need to buy a decent plain leather strap and some Chicago screws.
