I found the boots to be comfortable. Very heavy to the point that they bothered my back some.
I took a size that I never wear in regular shoes, so beware of the sizing contrast.

They are a plastic tap that fits on the heel. You place them where the heel would wear. They are quiet, thus "hush."
They are avialable under a number of names.

Enjoy. It really is important to be measured professionally. These shoes run so differently. My physical therapist said that the weight of the shoes (4.6 lbs for a 10 1/2 D) might have aggrevated my back condition, but certainly did not cause it. It seems my back problems started about the same time...

I have to say that My Aldens have taken six weeks to feel good and I've had to remove my orthodic.
Now, if I don't wear them, I feel funny. Also, with other shoes on, my feet look much smaller.

I inherited my Fed .Deluxe from a friend. It is my only GOOD fedora. As a starter hat, it probably can't be beat. I like it and according to the folks in the know around here, I did a fine job of bashing and the size seems to fit my face.
