I have owned a Fed Deluxe for close to four years now and since I just recently found out that Fedora is making hats (this from the guy that used to just toss his on top of his computer monitor to store it  ) I have become interested in purchasing another. Sad to hear that HJ is not a great o...

Has anyone bought an HJ from this site? They are selling the poets for $225 and are willing to bash any number of styles from the three movies for an additional $15. Looks like they'll even run over it a few times with a truck to get that really rumpled "Cairo" look! Is $225 about ...

You know, there are certainly different schools of thought on what a Raiders jacket should be. Should it be a useful jacket or a screen accurate one? Well, I can tell you this is where M.J.S. (Multiple Jacket Syndrome) starts. The reality is you really need at least two jackets, regardless of your p...

It's troublesome to hear all the negativity about US Wings. As I've said earlier, I have a vintage cow and have nothing but praise for it. I also bought my father a signature series goatskin A2 and the thing is truly bombproof. Then again, I bought my jacket almost four years ago and the A2 is three...

What's old is new again.
Well, it's been a couple years since I've visited COW. I found this site back in 2001 and joined up in 2002. Used it to research and purchase my first jacket: a Wested goat. Goat was kind of new to Wested then and it had this dang gray color to it in certain light. I sold it to a fellow COWer and si...

Wings VIP
I've had a US Wings Vintage Cow for about three years now, a FS lamb, and used to have a Wested Goat. I've got to admit the Wings is probably my favorite. So I'm thinking about getting a Wings VIP but it looks to me as if the clasps are backwards. I know they're reversed from my Vintage Cow with the...

I happen to wear my US Wings Vintage Cow while riding my motorcycle. For me, at least, body protection is a major factor to consider when picking a motorcycle jacket. As we speak I'm waiting for a custom made jacket from Vanson Leathers. Once that arrives, I'm retiring the Indy jacket from motorcycl...

This is truly an illness. I am completely and totally satisfied with my FS Expo in dark brown lambskin. This to me is THE JACKET. So why then have I almost ordered a new Wested in the authentic brown lambskin? Part of it is probably Wested envy. I sold my original Wested goatskin prior to buying the...

Zohar, I'm afraid you've asked a question that only one person at Club Obi Wan can answer. That person happens to be you. New pic of the 405 on the Alden Shop site.
The new pic of the 405 on the Alden Shop website shows the 405 in an almost black color. Have they switched colors on us again? I'll have to say this is much better looking than the orange color I've seen on lots of the newer boots.

Well, I've had my bag for about three weeks now and it has held up great so far. I'm not sure I understand the question. I ordered my WPG bag about a week and a half ago and had it within two days. I mean it was fast. And the bag is fantastic. I dyed mine and it instantly looked like it had spent a fair amount of time being used. (It didn't look beat up, it just didn't look like...

Who has had success getting their Aldens dyed?
I've read in several threads about people having their Aldens dyed brown instead of the brick-red color that the shoe currently comes in.
Have you had much success and, if so, what kind and color of dye was used on them.
Did you just have it done at a shoe store?

I don't own a pair of Alden's yet. But I'm thinking around Christmas that a jolly old fat man might bring me a pair. Even if Uncle Stu doesn't come through for me, I'm going to order one. I am just having the hardest time getting ahold of a bag strap from him. I have a WPG bag (newly dyed olive drab) and really want to replace the "russet" colored strap it comes with. It seems everyone thinks that the Keppler strap is the only way to go. In fact I ordered one from him last ...

Ok, the dye job is done and a complete success. Not only did the process turn the bag a nice olive drab, but it got rid of the fresh off the assembly line look. I highly recommend the process for the WPG's. The only problem (not really a problem) is that the raw edges on the inside of the bag frayed...

If you look at the bag on the WPG website (or in Indygear's bag section) the color appears exactly as you would expect. A light olive drab. The bag I received, however, doesn't have a hint of olive to it. It's as tan as you can possibly get. I guess it really wouldn't matter except that I've passed ...

OK, I'm sure I'll get some arguments from this reply but I'd almost bet that the glove color (at least for most of the scenes) is the light tan color from Wells Lamont (instead of the darker tan or white glove colors you'll also find). We are talking about the WPG bag and mine is tan. Not greenish-tan, not tannish green. Tan. Light tan actually. I was expecting Indy green. Yes it's a great bag. No it's not green. So my question is (and it's probably already answered elsewhere). Can I dye it (well obviously I can). But what do I us...
