Re: Indy neck tie

If you want a polyester or a wool tie go with that. Indy didn't. He, or rather his costumer chose a tie that was silk in appearence. If you want screen accurate go for the Atkinson Irish Poplin, but it will cost you. Jos A Bank is right in the middle and you can try before you buy. Visually, it is v...

Re: Indy neck tie

As far as the Last Crusade black tie, I know there are several internet sources, but if you want something close to home (assuming you are in the USA) that you can look at before buying, try Jos A Bank. Their solid black tie fits the bill and they always seem to have it in the stores. You can of cou...

Re: Custom Indy Bag to Hold Laptop

I am not an expert on anything but I have been lurking around here for a while. That being said, there have been posts in the past that include schematics and patterns for the MkVII bag. Here is one of them but there are more. http://www.indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=32243&hilit=mk+v...

Re: Todd's Pants

Finished or unfinished, it would be nice if Todd would offer a pair of pants that could accept a propper hem for people with inseams greater than 31 inches. I have been put-off of buy Wested trousers, since they first became available, for this very issue. At an unfinnished 35" there is no way ...

Re: Todd's Pants

Now for some begging:

Please offer them in longer lengths than K-Mart shoppers are accustomed to. There are people out there whose inseam measurement is greater than their waist measurement e.g., 32"X34" ;)

This is great info. Would any of you with the L of XL be willing to tell me if the sleeves could be let down a bit? On the website the sleeve lengths are quotes at 34" and 35" respectively. I am wondering if an extra inch or two could be let out of the cuff.

If it went into production, I'd take one as is. Assuming, that is, that they would make it available in long sizes ;-). I have to say kudos to those involved in the project. And, if it comes to fruition, it might be the best balance of look, price, durability, and consistency.

Calling Tall Fans

We keep hearing that there is no market for tall/long sizes, but there must be a few of you in the same boat as me. So, I thought I'd put some feelers out and see how many of you lanky folks there were out there that would buy gear (shirts and jackets especially) if only you could get your size. I'm...

I'll vote when there is an option for a Reliable jacket that includes a number of Screen-Accurate elements in extended sizes (inc TALL) for well under $500US. Until then...Wested Baby!

My first pair,11.5Es did that. Then, several years later, I went and had my foot re-measured and ordered a 12B and haven't had a problem since. I chaulked it up to the fact that 11.5E had to be laced to the point where the sides and eyelets met and therefore the laces never contact the tongue. On th...

I had an akubra that wore through in the same spot. Since I was in grad school and couldn't afford a new hat, I opened the crown and used a heat adhesive (iron on) patch. I then reblocked the hat on a home made block giving it a good turn. This moved the hole form fron and center to hidden on the si...

Hey Max,

Nice looking jacket. I was thinking about ordering a medium but the sleeves lengths are too short. Judging from yours, do you think that they could be let down a couple of inches (by a competant tailor of course). Or do you think that would leave a line?

Any fedora junkies in Colorado with a hat block?

My indy hat is starting to taper to a degree and I would like to nip that in the bud. If there are any hobbiests in Colorado (Denver Metro) with a good raiders block ( 7 1/4 - 7 3/8 ) and a couple of free hours, I could really use the help. I know I could send it to a hatter, but I would rather expe...
Have you measured the collar? Just curious, because when I got my RAIDERS, I started to get a little paranoid about it being a LC because the collar *looked* big, and the grail pocket seemed extra large. I'd like to know the exact spec diffs between the Raiders and LC collars.[/color...
