Great looking shirt, Strones! My Medium came in last week and I love it! Did you dye your shirt a lighter color? Compared to mine and so many others it's alot lighter. All of Todds shirts that I've seen are a darker khaki. Oh well, it still looks good. Todd really did a great job!!

It looks lighter in these pics, but it's a little darker khaki. I think the effect is due to the direct sunlight from the window.

Good looking shirt, I think the color looks great too. It's all about the lighting on color change. It is very difficult to get the right screen color for everyones perception. I think Todd has done an excellent job with this shirt. Congratulations.

Me too as I'm 6'3" and the shirt barely fits length-wise. I'm afraid to wash it. I guess I'll just have to hand wash it.

Me three. With a slim build and long arms, most the gear options are closed to me.

Guys, the original shirt was sort of short to begin with. This is why it became untucked in Cairo so easily and if you pay close attention, it does so many times in the film. In the end its all your fault for being too tall!

I think that other than the material, the shirt is spot on. I'm not at all saying its bad, just that its not what was used on the originals. I'm just not quite sure why one would go so far, yet not go all the way. Still, it rocks! It totally rocks.

My guess as the material chosen: it is very comfortable, easy to care for, and wrinkles very nicely, and achieves a very important pricepoint.

I have been watching for the "backorder" notice to be lifted on these...

Anyone know if he has them yet? I suppose I could call Todd myself...

I like very much the pen pocket: is Todds the only one shirt that has this beautiful (and very SA) detail? :-k

Not sure about the pen pocket question, but I just (back) ordered a couple shirts. They are currently not in stock, and expected Mid-August.

In case anyone was wondering when they would be available...

(I spoke with them earlier today) :D

No, Wested has only the pass-through in the flap, not the pocket. That's not SA...

I never noticed a pen/pencil in the pocket in the film (perhaps there is?), so it would not be a deal breaker for me...

But, it is nice to know the detail is there! :D

Yep, no question that is stitched...

Does he ever actually have a pen or pencil in that pocket?

I don't remember seeing one... :?

I didn't think so...

Which is somewhat interesting as they carried over the pocket to the latest film, and still don't use the pocket... That could have easily been deleted for this film, and no one but us would have noticed!

Great looking shirt, appears to be very comfortable. Do the sleeves feel too long? I know they advertise them as being longer.

No. My shirt is an M, and the sleeves are ok, or a little short.

Cool, I t seems that I'll need a Medium as well, and since my long sleeves are rolled up at least 95% of the time, shortness isn't a crime for me.

No, it's the flash on the shirt. My shirt is darker than what you see in the pics, real colour is more similar to this:

Weird, my Todd's does not have the pen pocket or slit for a pen at all. That's kind of a bummer now that I realize it's missing, I mean I know it's an insignificant detail - but still. This thread reminded me that my MBA shirt does have this detail, I just ran and double checked..sure enough.

I don't believe that the first run had the pen pocket. I know mine doesn't.

Color's lookin' better on the new run though.

Just to clarify - the size large were completed first and they forgot the pen pocket. The remaining sizes got the pen pockets.

Color - all shirts to date are cut from the same run of fabric. NO variation of color.

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I'm currently researching the Indy costume and bought the first peice.

I received my Todd's shirt about 2 weeks or so ago. I think it was the last XXL they had. I'm new to the whole Indy costume but have been researching it like a crazy man. First off I'm pretty happy with it. The fit is really good for one and it seems well constructed. The color looks to be darker then the Raiders one especially during the Cairo seens. However, I know the debate over the color that you see on screen not being the same as what the real shirt was in person. The pen pocket is present as well. The fabric is a little tiny bit scratchy against the skin because of the courser type of cotton poplin but not a big deal really. Over all, I am pretty satisfied with it.

One thing the no one seems to talk about is the epauletts. In Raiders, the button appears on the inside of the pleats closer to the collar and in TOD, LC and CS, the button appears to be in the middle of the pleats. http://www.indygear.com/igshirt.html

Most of the replica shirts seem to be like the Raiders style except the buttons, in my opinion, are too close to the pleat. Again, reference the above link.

Is anyone planning on doing the other styles I wonder?

After seeing the pics of this shirt, I've pulled the trigger on one (and a few other items from Todds). It looks very authentic and I really like the creases / wrinkles.

That is good news!

I ordered an L and an XL to see which fit better...

It sounds like the XL will fit me as well...

How is the 'gut' area? is it still tapered, or straight as it says on the web site?

I think the "gut area" on mine is straight. I have a 42" chest and a 34" waist and it fits me with enough room. Its more form fitting than other shirts I have owned, but it's supposed to be.

I'm a 44 chest and 33 waist, so I expect it will be a bit snug, but that's a good thing...

I can always have the bottom taken in easily if I need to.

What is your normal dres shirt sleeve length, and how does the XL fit?
