If you just don't have a place to host he pics, then PM me and I can host them for you. If you don't have a dig cam or a scanner, then I can't help much. W/o pics its hard to give specific advice because 'broad shoulders' may mean different things to different people. All I/we can do is give general...

I would get about 2 inches added to the armhole. I have fairly big shoulders and my first jacket fit like a T-shirt. I sent it back to have the holes made bigger and if fit much better.
I posted pics here.

Peter will make the arm lengths whatever you want, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I'll just live with it. They don't look that bad anyway.
But if the jacket starts to look like Michaelson, I may recondsider. :P

Can leather be ironed?

Can leather be ironed with a wet towel placed between the leather and the iron? My goat has developed some wrinkles/creases around the top of the pleats that cause them to open up more that they did originally. I was hoping they could be ironed out or at least reduced. My gut tells me the answer is ...

I've had my goats a couple of weeks, so my experience is limited, but here are my observations: 1) My pleats tend to stay open a little bit. 2)Its kind of hard to tell without pictures. I thought mine was a little snug, even after having the armholes made bigger. But it has loosened up as the jacket...

You have a big Wested and a mini-me Wested. I'm sure your daughter will appreciate that in a few years. And when she outgrows it, you can save it so she can pass it on to her kids. Could Peter make a jacket for a dog? My weimaraner would look cool in a Wested. On second thought, she would probably j...

After wearing it to work for a couple of days, I'm feeling better about it. I thought it migh restrict my arms too much when I try to raise them in front (like driving), but its starting to loosen up some. I may only have another day or two here to wear it before it gets too warm. I don't believe I'...

I think the flash increases the contrast between the dark brown and authentic colors. But the pictures should give you a general idea.
If the dard brown is coffee colored, then the authentic would be coffee with a LITTLE bit of cream.

The black is included to give a reference. Top Row: black lamb, dark brown lamb, authentic lamb Bottom row: black cow, dark brown g...

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't planning on doing anything with the sleeves until it was broken in. Is altering the sleeves something a local tailor could do easily? I'm sure Peter/Gerry would be willing to help, but its probably easier to for you to do it because of the time difference and its on our side of the ocean.

I called DHL and asked about the charge. The single transaction charge is for some sort of bond. If I fax a copy of the bond to them, then they will remove the $40 charge. I'm not sure what the bond is really for, or what sending them a copy of it does, but that's what they told me.

I just got the customs bill for my Wested jacket. It came from DHL Worldwide Express, not PBB Global, and it was for $79. The invoice shows the following charges: Customs Duty $9 Customs MPF $25 Processing Fee $5 Single Transaction $40 I was expecting the bill to be $25-30. That's what most of the b...

The chest/torso of mine was about perfect, but he armholes were too small. I could barely get my arms through if I was wearing anything more than a T-shirt. I had to send it back  .
If you have big arms/shoulders I would recommend getting the arm holes increased by an inch or two.

I have a pair of LL Bean Gore-tex Cresta hikers. I have the Pecards boot oil, standard dresssing, and silicone dressing. When you send a jacket back to Wested to be altered/remade, what is the usual turnaround time?
Are you added to the front of the list, or will it be another 3 week wait?

I've got a question about how much to apply.
It sounds like on the standard stuff, you apply it until it won't absorb any more, the wipe/buff it off.
Does this apply to the jell and lotion? I'm applying the lotion to cow and the lotion to lamb.
