Naa, no problems, I dont really plan on wearing it while riding. I have a
specficly designed leather riding jacket with armor built in for that.

Under the seam is how it was made for the film, this has changed during recent production. Due to the fact the leather strap would eventual pull out of the single stiched seam on the side. Why? Heres my opinion.

Wheather its the headpeice or jacket or whip, i want my gear to look like how it looks in the movie. Which in most cases the jacket looked almost black to my eye. Also, in a real life situation i think a darker color goes with more outfits.

If i were in your situation, i would return it, ask for an exchange or a refund. Period. If there is any kind of question to its condition, you should return it. If not the question (Did i get a used/defective whip?) will nibble at you for a long time. Nip it in the bud now. Dont take no for an answ...
