Tumwater Hats

I've been looking around at various hat companies recently, and came across Tumwater Hats out of Olympia, WA They do all of their fedoras in 100% Beaver felt starting at $275 While there doesn't appear to be preset models to choose from and there isn't a strictly Indiana Jones type fedora in the gal...

I've worn my Garrison fedora in the rain multiple times. Since I was outdoors most of the time this summer, I chose my hats depending on the weather that day. On a hot sunny day, I'd go with a straw hat. If it was cool(er) or showed signs of rain, my Garrison was the hat of choice. As people have al...

I looked up the Sydney, and it's a tapered hat. Re: Anyone else bothered by all the cowboy comments?

I think it's really all about the hat's dimensions. The Indy-style fedoras are tall crowned and medium-wide in the brim. While I've noticed fedoras are becoming more and more common among young people (particularly "geek" culture), the teenagers of the world generally don't make enough mon...

Those things are closer to being a fez than they are a fedora. Strangely enough, I have seen people running around in fezzes every now and again, and not just the Shriners. Well, after a few months of sporting my Garrison Raider, it's morphed into more of a Crystal-Skullish bash as I've let the crease flare down rather than tightening it to keep it sharp. Yeah, I think that for one, the ribbon would be far better as BLACK ribbon. Not SA, but better than the current brown ribbon. I previously had this lid with a Raiders-like bash (A tight crease but without the turn of the brim)
However, over time the bottom of the crease kept getting pressed out by my head, and I eventually decided to just make it into an LC style instead
