Re: Any Straw Pictures?
Yeah, I know the question is a little vague. I actually emailed you about this a few months ago, John, and you gave the same advice (Brent or Dusty). Ok. My Father-in-Law has an Akubra FedIV that I talked him in to when he got his doctor's orders. I gave it more of a CS bash and he wears it all the ...

Re: Any Straw Pictures?
I really like Brent's, but he is a bit beyond the budget this time. The price and looks of Dusty's F&G are spot-on, but my father-in-law is not completely sold on the 'hard' straw. Any thoughts on Peters Bros, or is there another recommendation I could look towards? Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Any Straw Pictures?
I am needing to buy a good, dressy straw hat for my father-in-law. I had read reviews on Crease-n-Corral's Fortune and Glory way back when, and also Peter's Bros. Indy Straw, but none of those old threads seem to have pictures any more. Anyone out there have both and mind posting some new pictures, ...

Carried my iPad all over Disney in my mk vii and still had plenty of room for a couple bottles of water and a pack of crackers.

The hat you did for John is EXACTLY the hat I want. I have been putting off ordering from you while talking the wife in to it, all the while thinking "I wish that F&G had the same ribbon as my Penman, that would be perfect!". Good to see I was right. Don't know why it never occurred to...

My review of the Cabela's 100% Cotton Safari Shirt
I bought 2 of these a few weeks ago and love them. The best part... I signed up for the Cabelas Visa card when I bought them. Turns out when you get the card, you also get $25 worth of store credit, whether you use the card or not, so I just ordered another Large Tall and paid a whole 94¢ for it, sh...

If you are talking about the drawing listed on the indygear.com accessories page, it can be found elsewhere on the site (I'm sorry I really don't remember where, but I have a copy of it I can email you if you'd like). If you find that one, then you can print it out at 100% scale. This will take a co...

Not really interested in this particular gun, but I am glad to see your relationship with Tanaka growing. Perhaps you will soon be able to get some extra cartridges.

Have you had any luck getting some extra "bullets" from Tanaka? I love the gun, but only having 6 shots, and the lengthy reload time, takes the fun down a notch at parties.

I think I understand what you mean about the cuffs of your jacket. My Collector's Edition was the same way. At first it was rather uncomfortable, but with a little wear, eventually the cuffs started feeling right. Now, the only problem I have is that if I am wearing heavier clothing under the jacket...

Re: Is anyone else still waiting on their US Wings Legend?
I don't know about the adult Legend, but my sons Kids Legend just arrived the other day. I ordered it in late November. When I called Wings a few days after Christmas, they told me that many of their jackets were stuck in customs on their way from the manufacturers, delayed by snow storms. That does...

Still patiently waiting for my sons to arrive. I called and wings did tell me that they were out of size Large but that a shipment was waiting in customs being delayed by massive snowfall. Hopefully soon. I directed my son to their website on Christmas and showed it to him, so he knows it is on the ...

Thanks for the advice, folks! I'll try to get some pics up this evening so you can better see what has happened. Re: What type of leather shrinks the most?
So is there any re-stretching a shrunken jacket? My AC Hero was not INTENTIONALLY washed, but it did meet with enough water to saturate it. Warm water at that. I did not properly explain to my wife that the fuller's earth would come off with wear. To make things worse, she then tossed it in the drye...

I don't think the pictures quite show the variance in hide or especially the 'antiquing', but maybe you can notice it. The right side of the jacket, overall, has less of an antique look than the left or back, but it is most prominent on the sleeves and collar, I think. I would appreciate any advice ...

OK. Have one of these in hand now, but need to know where to get extra cartridges. Not the caps, the brass/aluminum cartridges. It takes FOREVER to reload this thing, so I would like to be able to carry a handful of cartridges already loaded up with caps.

If not, or even if it is, I would love to hear from anyone who owns Todd's PFC S&W replica. I am very interested in it, but I can't really find many references to it on this board

OK, I don't want to sidetrack this thread, but I just gotta ask while it is on my mind... Real-world, how much handling can a typical (if there is such a thing) hat handle before such a hole is worn/torn in the front. OK, so then... By the numbers, can someone (John) give me a rough definition for the many grades of oval-ness? For example canuck's head is only about 14% longer than it is wide (if I am doing my math right), thus being considered round or even round-round oval. What, to a hatter, would be considere...

well that stinks. While I am not really interested at all in the weaponry (for that would only lead me to wanting MANY SA guns that I cannot afford and have no real use for), I have very much enjoyed reading your recent threads concerning all things Jacket and Hat.
