Re: Any Straw Pictures?

Yeah, I know the question is a little vague. I actually emailed you about this a few months ago, John, and you gave the same advice (Brent or Dusty). Ok. My Father-in-Law has an Akubra FedIV that I talked him in to when he got his doctor's orders. I gave it more of a CS bash and he wears it all the ...

Re: Any Straw Pictures?

I really like Brent's, but he is a bit beyond the budget this time. The price and looks of Dusty's F&G are spot-on, but my father-in-law is not completely sold on the 'hard' straw. Any thoughts on Peters Bros, or is there another recommendation I could look towards? Sent from my iPhone using Tap...

Any Straw Pictures?

I am needing to buy a good, dressy straw hat for my father-in-law. I had read reviews on Crease-n-Corral's Fortune and Glory way back when, and also Peter's Bros. Indy Straw, but none of those old threads seem to have pictures any more. Anyone out there have both and mind posting some new pictures, ...

The hat you did for John is EXACTLY the hat I want. I have been putting off ordering from you while talking the wife in to it, all the while thinking "I wish that F&G had the same ribbon as my Penman, that would be perfect!". Good to see I was right. Don't know why it never occurred to...

My review of the Cabela's 100% Cotton Safari Shirt

I bought 2 of these a few weeks ago and love them. The best part... I signed up for the Cabelas Visa card when I bought them. Turns out when you get the card, you also get $25 worth of store credit, whether you use the card or not, so I just ordered another Large Tall and paid a whole 94¢ for it, sh...

If you are talking about the drawing listed on the indygear.com accessories page, it can be found elsewhere on the site (I'm sorry I really don't remember where, but I have a copy of it I can email you if you'd like). If you find that one, then you can print it out at 100% scale. This will take a co...

Have you had any luck getting some extra "bullets" from Tanaka? I love the gun, but only having 6 shots, and the lengthy reload time, takes the fun down a notch at parties.

I think I understand what you mean about the cuffs of your jacket. My Collector's Edition was the same way. At first it was rather uncomfortable, but with a little wear, eventually the cuffs started feeling right. Now, the only problem I have is that if I am wearing heavier clothing under the jacket...

I don't know about the adult Legend, but my sons Kids Legend just arrived the other day. I ordered it in late November. When I called Wings a few days after Christmas, they told me that many of their jackets were stuck in customs on their way from the manufacturers, delayed by snow storms. That does...

Re: What type of leather shrinks the most?

So is there any re-stretching a shrunken jacket? My AC Hero was not INTENTIONALLY washed, but it did meet with enough water to saturate it. Warm water at that. I did not properly explain to my wife that the fuller's earth would come off with wear. To make things worse, she then tossed it in the drye...

I don't think the pictures quite show the variance in hide or especially the 'antiquing', but maybe you can notice it. The right side of the jacket, overall, has less of an antique look than the left or back, but it is most prominent on the sleeves and collar, I think. I would appreciate any advice ...

OK, I don't want to sidetrack this thread, but I just gotta ask while it is on my mind...
