I saw a pic of Harrison a few years ago, trap shooting with Speilberg, he was wearing his Aldens then too. He just really likes them

Alden heels - why the difference?
I have been wondering this for a while. My personal Aldens have an all rubber heel. The Aldens being worn by my full size Indy have a totally different heel. They look much nicer in my opinion. Here's a comparison pic:
<img src=http://home....

I use mine over grass, even if it is a bit damp. I just dry it off, and put some dressing on it when I am done. The motion of cracking the whip may be what is causing the pain. It could quite simply be some muscles that you don't normally use. My forearm used to hurt after cracking, but now it doesn...

First of, yes Peter IS da man! :notworthy: Secondly, No don't use artificial weathering. Michaelson isn't the only one who doesn't do it. My TOD is 1 year old and has VERY nice natural distressing. The only time I would use chemicals on something is if it needs to look distressed and will nev...

I also think that the amount of salt they dump on the roads here will ruin them. For a light dusting of snow I may wear them. But once the snow is deep and the salt trucks are out, I will put them away along with my westeds. Last night the temperature dropped pretty fast and the wet ground was...

I have owned several westeds and another is on the way. I think Peter is amazing and I don't see why anyone would buy anything else. After all, he DID do the original jackets. Aldens and SNOW!
 Is a good treatment of pecards good enough for wearing my Aldens in the snow? I have never used leather in the winter. Please enlighten me. Last night it was warm and we had a thunderstorm. I woke up this morning to my kids telling me Santa was coming. I got out of bed to see everything cove...

I never even thought about this. I wear it in the car/van all the time, and just fire the seatbelt across the same, regardless if I have a wested on or not. There isn't a mark on my jacket from my seatbelt, and it is lamb. I never have used pecards on it. It is showing lots of natural distressing, b...

This makes a question come to surface(rather gross thought IMO)- Do Aussies (or maybe even Aboriginees) eat kangaroo meat? You know, I wondered the same thing. Doesn't westernstage props carry Keppler whips? I may just be confused. The budget EC whip is an excellent choice. I have a regular EC 8ft 12 plait and I absolutley love it. Cracks easily, the braiding is straight and you can't beat Jim for customer service. He put up with my annoying questions and ...

My jacket is lamb (I have never used any sort of treatment on it) and the leather in the pleat is very soft. I wonder if using a stiffer leather (like cow or goat) in the pleat only, would make a difference. Or maybe leather that is cut thicker, just for the pleats would work better. I don't know. I...

I had to have my wested sent back to have the pleats fixed. The thread was lost in the last crash. Peter put elastic banding inside my jacket. Yes, he said he would never do that, but had to try it. My leather inside the pleats had become too soft to keep the pleat stiff. It has helped quite a bit, ...
