I consider this to be a form of cencorship. It's more about controlling copyright infringement than anything else. The governments of the countries that get these other regional DVD's are the ones doing the censoring of many of the films you see (or don't see). It takes some time to get a film prep...

Hey, no hard feelings? I've gotten myself in similar (kind of) position when I commented about an american made sword years ago. It was a japanese katana (or samurai sword)-style sword and I made a few stupid comments about it just because I assumed it couldn't be very good coming outside Japan. My ...

Sorry if you feel I was attacking you. No meaning to be rude. My 12 feet TJ is considerably heavier than the 12 feet JS I handled so it seems weird that you think it's lighter? And about the workmanship on these two whips I don't agree. Both whips are very well done. If you prefer the short handle (...

Re: Batman Returns vs Indiana Jones

Also, the weight of a Terry Jacka is much lighter. A Joe Strain whip is a much better crafted bullwhip. Could you be more specific since these too statements seem a bit odd? I have a 12 foot Terry Jacka and have had the opportunity to compare it to a Joe Strain in the real life. I know the differen...

Thanks for the tip.

For the record: I'm looking for whips for myself that won't get ruined if they get wet... the problem isn't the novice users, I have a cheap nylon whip for them to try but I usually use the whips on a surface that gets real muddy after the rain.

Re: Hmmmm.....

I guess we can all thank the manufacturers of DVD and VHS players for this brilliant marketing scheme. Well actually it's the big film companies who are responsible of this. They want to get the money from movie theaters before selling a DVD on a new region. I consider this to be a form of cencorsh...

Maybe we should order some of these WSP-whips... I imagine the price is so low that there wouldn't be problems re-selling them? I'm thinking about getting two 8 footers.

WSP sells whips made by Krist King. Anyone have any experience with them?

Howdy. I'm looking for a whipmaker who makes good nylon whips. The model I'm looking for is a replica of the target whip made by Peter Jack, 'The Whip Man' http://www.thewhipman.co.nz/imagebulls7.gif I have one of these beauties but the weather here in Finland is keeping the outdoor-training time sh...

That could do the trick if the hooks won't cause dents? I actually found a good place next to the stairway but I don't trust my cat to leave it alone. One thing I have been planning is to make a narrow shelf up the wall, high enough to keep the whips safe from my dogs and my kid but it still doesn't...

Any idea how to hang an aussie style 12 footer? The total length is somewhere around 15 feet and I don't have a high enough place for it?

I currently keep my whips losely coiled on a hat shelf.

Let the whip dry completely before applying any conditioner. Otherwise the conditioner will seal the moisture inside the whip.

I use the same gloves as I use when I'm shooting CAS. The gloves are very thin and they don't protect my hands from bruises and stuff but they keep my skin from coming apart. A bit like motorcycle suit is there just to keep your body in one piece but doesn't keep your bones from breaking...

The swivel can be easily disabled, so if the whip is ok in other aspects like length and cost, go ahead. I'm not very impressed by nylon but then again,...
