My Henry is Perfect. Why is that? Magic?

I think my Henry might be the most perfectly proportioned to my face hat that I have owned (and I bought mine second-hand). Everything about it seems perfect, from the height of the crown, to the pinch to the brim's width and dimensional cut. http://i709.photobucket.com/albums/ww92/hulkamad/Henry%20...

I've not added a photo here for ages, so here's one. Penman CS in Black Cherry, posted this hat before, but it is a real favorite. http://www.photo.uniqueday.com/Other/SmugShots/i-DKPM923/0/L/smugshot_3301683-L.jpg Whew! Re: An Indesque hat of a different color....

I have two Indy hats on order from Steve from way back in the day. I may have to change one of them to this color and style. Hmm... Should I give up my "Idol Grab" or "Streets of Cairo"? :-k Assuming this color felt and ribbon are still available. Anyone know? I already have a 2n...

am I to understand that a hat can be reblocked to the next bigger size? or slightly larger than originally blocked? Not trying to hijack thread, just curious. :-k Usually, yes. Although there is a possibility you may lose some brim width. Thanks for the info! I'll leave the thread like it was now.

I'm going to have to echo everything Chewbacca Jones said. Everything he said is great advice. My own experience: My first hat was an Akubra Fed IV and it really was the perfect starter hat. However, try convincing your wife, husband, or signifanct other, that your son/daughter age 6- 13 needs a "somewhat" SA accurate hat that will cost at minimum $150.00 USD and they may outgrow this hat in a year. That boat won't float in this house. We have two DP's in this house and both ...

Ooh, intriguing! What are the specific differences between the fed4 and 3? How much wider is the brim of the fed3? Using the search feature leads me to threads that suggest different block shapes, the fed4 being more a "classic" shape block. (I assume it means more vintage-looking) I don'...

a chocolate-brown cavanaugh. Ah, my all time fav vintage brand of hat. Never seen a bad one. And I don't generally care for edge treatment, but the Cavanagh edge was really something.
