You know I didn't write the article? They may have quoted me but I never said that.

Whoa. Cool. Your hats seem like a bargain compared to some of those other items ($4,000 for a pair of shoes!!).

Congrats John, I am happy for your continued success and notoriety!

And it's true, a bespoke suit is such a lovely thing. Although I get mine from Hong Kong and save a few bucks off those prices...

Oh, I know. I wasn't faulting you for the "President Kennedy" quote at all, old friend, and I know you didn't say it. :) I was banging my head against the desk because they were perpetuating the whole idea that the decline in hat wearing rests with President Kennedy, which is based on the falsehood that Kennedy started a hat-free trend when he decided to go hatless at his inauguration. Kennedy wore a silk top hat that day, but I'm sure you know that just as well as I and many others here do.

I guess it just annoys me a little inside when I see articles and other pieces pointing to President Kennedy as the sole trendsetter and/or parroting the "hatless inauguration" fallacy as fact.
