For the sake of practicality (both ease of locating the parts and overall strength), over strict screen accuracy, a one-inch wide LC strap wouldn't be a bad thing. I doubt that anyone would actually notice the difference in width unless they were strictly scrutinizing your gear precisely for screen ...

Surprisingly, Holt, that LC strap isn't common when compared to the Raider's version. Getting the roller buckle is the first trick, though not so terribly difficult with a touch of imagination. The next step is that bend in the buckle. That extra step doesn't get addressed all that often. Then the f...

I know of at least two COW members that own the shirts that this seller offers. I am one of them. I opted to have the custom tailored shirt and it really is the best fitting shirt that I've ever owned. The shirt looks good and is flexible. And, unlike the photos of the shirt in the eBay auction, the...

Bigger than the four extra inches that Gery recommends? I'm glad to finally hear from someone that has this belt. Thanks. I was thinking of going larger than the four inches as well. Not only for the sag of the belt but also for the extra length we see hanging free from Indy's LC belt. Gery's belt d...

Use a Coil Keeper from Whip Artistry Studios to hold the whip in place without slipping. It's $14.99 and it would blend in with the Raiders style gun belt. As a side note, I've posted about Whip Artistry Studios a few times. I have no connection to or affiliation with them whatsoever. Respectfully, ...

Found... The Lee Keppler bag strap pictures
Last night I was PMed by Lee, who had heard of my search for the LC bag strap and buckle. A number of photos on his website aren't working and so he was kind enough to send me pictures of his work. I tell you, I hit the motherload here. First, his Raiders strap... http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h...

Looking at the pictures I think that the horizontal lines are stretch marks and natural creases, not deliberate markings in the leather. Considering the stress that the leather went through during the filming of that scene the marks don't surprise me. If we're feeling particularly scrutinizing, thou...

The Work America men's boot isn't bad. Unlike the first pair, these boots do have the white threading on the boots. The pull loop isn't such a big deal and you can cut it off if you want to get a little closer to the Alden's look. Swap out the laces to get a little closer to the authentic look and i...

I'm giving this shirt a chance since it is so close to the LC shirt from what I can tell. I've ordered the custom-tailored one in the hopes that it will fit just right. I wrote to the seller about the button color issue for a LC shirt and was told that they'll use darker colored buttons for my order...

Awesome picture, Holt. That makes it abundantly clear. I appreciate it. Here's the trick question, then... if the belt's hardware is all brass, what about the whip holder? The whip holder slips onto the belt and its loop closes with a snap around the whip. Every whip holder I've seen, again, is silv...

Thank you Holt. I appreciate the picture. I'm starting to work on the LC look and I doubt that I ever would have caught the brass buckle. The pictures I've examined can be confusing. The buckles of the web belt and the gun belt do look similar but I just figured that it was a trick of the light. Tha...

The LC gun belt had a brass buckle? I've looked through the forums using the search function, I've been through a Google search, and I've stared at all the screen grabs that I can find of the LC gun belt. Other than in this thread I'm not finding any mention of the LC gun belt having a brass buckle....

I'm examining this shirt and I think that it's actually quite screen accurate when you compare it to the Last Crusade shirt. For instance, look at the pocket flaps... they curve down to a point (a sharper point than on the Wested shirts). If you look at Indy's shirt in LC, particularly when he's sta...
