Re: New LL Bean "close enough" boots...

Here's another pair from Lands End Canvas that look pretty spot on to me. The only problem is that the color seems a little dark. They have rubber soles. Lands End Canvas has sales pretty often, so now may not be the time. If you wait a bit, these might be a steal. Edit: Here's a code for 25% off an...

Re: Todd's Jacket Owner's Thread

It's been a while since I got it, but here's my small Todd's standard. I love it! The only thing that worries me slightly is the sleeve length, though going up to a size medium doesn't really add much in that dimension. I think I just have to get used to my gorilla arms, haha. http://i39.tinypic.com...

Maybe a spray adhesive? Not to derail the thread, but I'm inquiring about this for a life-size Jawa I'm making where it wouldn't necessarily matter if the cloth ended up being hard as a rock from glue,

Thanks for the advice. If I give it a shot, I'd definitely apply it damp. Is there any way to set it in so that it would be permanent?

Is Fuller's Earth likely to rub off and make a mess? I'm considering using it on some cloth for a display, but I wouldn't want it to get all over the place.

Re: Which size should I get?- Jacket has Arrived!

I did try out the sample fitting method, but mostly just to see how long it would be, and for the sleeves. I wasn't quite sure how to fold it up to get the chest measurement to look right, so I just based it on my own chest measurement. I'm really happy with how it looks and I've been wearing it sin...

Re: Which size should I get?- Jacket has Arrived!

Sorry for the double post, but my jacket just arrived and I love it! At first I was a little concerned that it might be too small, but I think it's just because I'm not used to wearing a jacket like this. I have plenty of freedom of movement, and I think it looks great! I don't have any comparison, ...

That's a fantastic picture Bartram! The hat looks great, and it goes really well with the suit. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Which size should I get?- Jacket has Arrived!

I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place for it, but I would really appreciate some advice. I'm finally going to be getting an Indy jacket to complete my gear (for now), and I decided on the Todd's standard. My only problem is with the sizing. According to my measurements and the chart on th...

Well, I finally got my Todd's medium in today (along with a web belt), and I have to say I love it! It looks and fits great! Here's my first picture with all of my gear together except for the holster that's on its way and the jacket that I'll order eventually, haha. http://i33.tinypic.com/iftkbo.jp...

I actually don't own one of costumebase's belts, but in his auction for some star wars belts he specifies that they're made out of pleather, so I would guess that that doesn't stop just with the SW belts.

Well I'm glad to know I'm not alone on this.... I figured I was doing something wrong. The whip is a kinda rough cowhide, and it's definitely not the best whip so I have to muscle it a bit, which probably adds to the blistering factor. To top it all off, I have notoriously sweaty hands... sounds lik...

Yeah.... I've been holding it a little bit differently, holding onto the knot a little bit farther down, so I think the blisters are a combination of that and just not being used to it. I'll have to work on my grip.

Blisters?

Hey everyone, I've had my whip since Tuesday and I've been practicing about 15-20 minutes every day. It's been a lot of fun, but I've developed some pretty big blisters on my hand. So my question for you is: Is this a normal thing? Or am I just holding the whip wrong?

I just got mine, and being my first whip, I really can't compare it with anything, but this thing is awesome! It took me a while to get the hang of it (and to realize there was a knot in the fall for shipping XD), but there's really nothing like that first CRACK and the "Did I do that? O.o"...

It's a good-looking whip! I actually just bought one of the natural tan whips from that seller. It looked rather nice in the pictures, but I think I'll end up darkening the knot to give it more of Raiders feel.
