New close enough boots

Post by Alex »

I got these today at the outlet mall down here. I like them because they look pre-weathered and are still fashionable enough for todays standards. They were on clearance for $40. Enjoy.

Looks good and you got a good deal....but, to me, they don't look that close to the Aldens.

I've got the same pair. Skechers Traffic. I got them during a buy one get one 1/2 off sale so they were only $20! I think they're at least as good as some of the other close enoughs out there. Maybe not rockport or redwings, but pretty good.

Are those boots on the dining room table????? I can hear someone screaming now.

Maybe you can get the local shoe repair shop to dye the soles a darker color. Not too many people will see the top of the boots, but the bright sole is a killer. Great price if they fit you. I don't think Sketchers makes my size, though.

I just got some skechers today. I couldn't find the Traffic style, but then again it wasn't on their website either, so I'm assuming they just changed it slightly and started calling them Mariners. I really like them, they're comfortable, and they're close enough for me especially for about 50 bucks. Here's a picture of mine. As soon as I got home I started distressing my boots (in honor of father's day) by mowing the dustbowl we sometimes refer to as a lawn.. haha
