If it weren't for the whole SA issue, I would say it looks better. I kinda like the cleaner front. I'm not sure though. Can we see a pic of you wearing it?

Just a quick search on "Conmar" shows they just made the zippers. The jackets I've looked at, so far, with Conmar zippers were all from the 50s

Re: Actual Webley WG INDY revolver(comparison:pics w/screenshot)
Here's the real question. Will it still fire? If so have you fired it yet? If so, how does it shoot after all of these years. Some old guns can be really nice, if they're taken care of. I have a 1947 Remington .22 long rifle. Absolute beauty. Other than being a bolt-action, it'll out fire any modern...

Re: An "Indy-esque" shirt for a song.
I don't know. That's listed as $28-40 for a very non SA shirt. If only they could combine the Look Three and Look Five. The Look Five had double pockets and a better price, but the material and cut were off.
**** I just noticed that the pockets on the Look Three are a little wonky also.

But the naphtha doesn't actually water proof, it's just a carrier for the waterproofing agent, right?

Steve,
When you say naptha-based what does that mean? Because I have a bottle of naptha right here. Now if I used it on my hat, would I have a waterproof hat or just a VERY combustible hat?

Re: Small problem with my Keppler
Alright, done.
Less than 2 minutes of cleaning and I have a perfectly stain-free hat. That's pretty much what I figured; but when you have a panel of experts as close as your fingertips, you might as well check. I figure there's nothing I can do to my hat that someone on here hasn't done before me.

Re: Small problem with my Keppler
Thank you so much. I figured this would be the case, but I wanted to make sure since it was fur and not some other material, and because the stain was grape juice. I will try this immediately.

Small problem with my Keppler
So I fell asleep last night with my drink beside my bed. I never ever do that but I've been somewhat sick and fell asleep after watching a movie in bed. I was frightfully awakened by my alarm this morning (reveille at full volume on cellphone) and as I hastily reached for the phone I spilled my drin...

Re: Roughneck Oil Driller Jacket
Yeah, I wasn't overly enthused about this specific jacket, but the style gives me some new search terms to try in google. Eventually I'll buy a jacket from one of our vendors, but for now I just don't have the cash. In the meantime I'd love to find a decent good enough. I thought maybe I could find ...

Roughneck Oil Driller Jacket
I found this jacket online. It is surprisingly similar to Indy's (at least from the front.) Perhaps this was some of the inspiration for his jacket. Also if they were wearing these in Alaska and West Texas, then that makes it pretty versatile as far as climate. Something Indy would have considered. ...

I discussed this a while back as I didn't realise that Indy would have worn suspenders (braces in the UK) with his suits. Actually we call them braces here in the US also. Just most people don't know what braces are. Suspenders are the cheap things that clamp down on your pants. Braces have slots t...

If you look really closely it appears that Indy is wearing shoes. I say this 1) because of the shape, not quite a natural foot shape and 2) because of the way the pants bunch a little on the front of the leg. If he was barefoot the pants would come down further. I also believe those are his suit pan...

A pastor friend of mine used to always tell a story about his dad. Whenever the family got a new car, they would all go outside, stand around the car, thank God for the new vehicle and ask for Him to bless it. Then the father would pull out the key and make a tiny scratch on the bumper. Everybody wo...

So I thought it would be interesting to trace the lineage of my hat. So I set out to find out who all had owned it before me, and exactly how old it was. So here it goes. The first owner of my hat was of course Lee Keppler as it is a Keppler hat. I don't know how long it was from the time Mr. Kepple...

I enjoyed the segment overall. I wish that it had not played it up so much as the lonesome few, but as a style making a comeback. As far as the stingys go, I think it has a lot to do with the music scene. That's where you mostly see stingys making a comeback (all fedoras for that matter); and the st...
