I'm guessing new Keppler since it just came out recently. Perfect brim shape. Crown is just a bit tall but still looks great.

Well, I was going to say Keppler... but since that is already dismissed I will say it's an AB.

guess it's not you. looks too tall to come from your block unless it was a special order.

I didn't say that. He could have got one of mine second hand and I wouldn't have known about it.

If the pics were better I could tell you but I wont mess it up for Holt.

An Indiana G special?

From the looks the crown is really tall...maybe the old AB before Steve adjusted the crown height.

I would have said Keppler based on the felt thickness, but you've already dismissed that and it flares out so much at the top. Is it one of 3thousand's.

Thats too domey to be one a $3ks. I have to second Indy G's. Either that or you made the hat yourself. I've enver seen anything that tall...aside from Renderking's hat. The hat is beautiful by the way. Great bash.

Well, that settles it. Only one problem remains: When is G going to start selling hats to all us folks?

Dave

p.s. Holt, congrats on the hat. It really is one of the nicest hats I've seen.

good eye Indiana Kev.......you know your hats :)

that was the second hat i made and the only indy beaver that i made. it is very soft with a nice finish. i think it looks 10 times better on holt than it ever did on me.....plus he put his own personal tweaks in it and i must say that the man has got skills.

eric and i have been exchanging PM's forever discussing and collecting jacket specifications. i got to know the man and have found out that we both share the same twisted sense of humour  he didn't have a hat and i had too many....and we both have the same head size. i gave him that hat as an early christmas present :)

as for the hat shop.......at this moment, it would be really expensive for a customer as they would have to but the hat, hat block, and hat flange if they wanted a hat from me  . i don't have a couple of G's (no punn intended) to sink into the start-up costs like oak did. plus, i wouldn't go competing with oak as he'd blow me out of the water with his artistic creations.

there's a member out there that gave me 'the science of hatmaking' as a secret santa gift last year..........LOOK AT ALL THE TROUBLE YOU'VE CAUSED!!!! ;-) :) (thank you for that gift btw)

Not completely fair (we haven't seen G hats enough to spot them at once) but nice looking hat my friend and compliments on Indiana G.

Holt if they make another live-action film about Ken Shiro you should be casted too

Thanks G, for making it clear to me what my course of action MUST now be:

1. Keep voicing (well-deserved) compliments about your hats here in these forums, praising your skillz up one side of you and down the other until
2. Your HEAD - quite literally - begins to SWELL to the point where
3. Your HAT SIZE increases to match my own, forcing you to
4. Buy a NEW hat block and hat flange SIMPLY for the purpose of producing your OWN hats thereby allowing me to
5. Lay claim to your hand-me-downs (or even your "throw-aways")

Mwah-HA-Ha-ha-ha-hahahahahaha!

Seriously though... I can't feel TOO jealous... I'm actually HAPPY for Holt (you won me over when you mentioned how he didn't already HAVE a hat!) That's just WRONG! A man's GOTTA have a HAT, and for HOLT - of all people - to be going WITHOUT is just ALL kindsa' wrong!
So, JOB WELL DONE in correcting this matter, G.
And, as always, NICE fedora my friend.

It's a great looking hat. The brim is perfect. - Some reverse taper. If only it was a little smaller size, might feel too tight, but that would fix the reverse taper. .. ... Can't beat a 360 stovepipe for nice deep front bashes like those...

I didn't expect anyone to know Ken Shiro LOL. What martial art have you been practicing? (can't be the Hokuto Shinken can it?)
