I just got my Alden 405s. I must say that these are comfortable, but I must agree that the cork sole is bit slippery during ice and snow. I live in Norway, and we experience quite a lot of snow between November and February/March. But hey, what don't you sacrifice for SA ?

I got my wested today too! I love the jacket, it's great..it just looks too new and too clean. I'm not sure whether I should weather this by wearing it, or by artificial weathering...it feels bad to start beating up the leather

I would definately go in full gear...but choose to keep the gun holster at home, in case people mistaken me to be armed.
