Re: The EXPLORADOR fedora - photo gallery

It's strange..when I wear the Fedora, it looks much better. I don't know, what are your opinion? Should it be more curved on the front part of the brim? :TOH: (I remember it having the same curvature as the one pictured in my last post when it first arrived from you). http://img687.imageshack.us/img...

Re: The EXPLORADOR fedora - photo gallery

Hi Indiego, I bought one of your hats about half a year ago. Due to storage, I noticed that the front of the brow have lost a lot of its original curvature (as seen in the Raiders Fedora http://www.wornthrough.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/2691-0001c.jpg ) Do you have any tips of how to get ba...

Re: Are fedoras too hot for the summer...?

After wearing my AB today in this South Texas humidity (it's been very humid the last few days), I'd say yes that fedoras are too hot for the summer. Does that stop me from wearing it? Heck no it doesn't. I love my hat, and I wouldn't think twice about wearing it in this weather. I admire your endu...

Re: Guys, Todd made it again!

I am really tempted to order a pair. Although I have a pair of Aldens already, I think Todd's boot may be good for pure costuming purposes.

Re: Compliments on the general gear

Funny thing, I wore my Fedora and Aldens on the plane back from Jordan this easter. The security officer at Frankfurt airport recognized these instantly and became very excited, I bet he was another Indy fan!

Re: First Time Experiences Wearing Your Indy Gear

I am currently in the process of upgrading all my Indy-gear (I used to only have a Wested Jacket, LL Bean shirt, licensed Lucasfilm Fedora, MK VII Gas Mask and some Alden-lookalikes). Here's everything 'new', still waiting for a more SA leather belt, pistol holster, whip and felt Fedora. What you gu...

Re: 2 pair of AB Aldens - Pics used vs new

I am wondering..are these in a color closer to the Alden 403, or 405s? :-k
Hard to determine from the pictures I think.

Re: First Time Experiences Wearing Your Indy Gear

Ive had loads of negative comments while wearing my fedora out and about. I used to take it to heart, take i off and then not wear it fora while. Then one day i went out with my fed and a young kid (thug) dressed so unbelieveably scruffy made a passing comment about my hat, i simply turned, looked ...

Re: Alden fit issue - Can I stretch it somehow?

This is a bit OT, but do anyone have the problem with the 'front flap' of the Aldens always shifting to the side after a bit of walking? With 'front flap' I mean the flap on the front of the shoe which gets covered and tightened by the shoe laces. This kind of annoys me, and the strange thing is tha...

Re: Alden Restoration Takes Away Waterproofing?

Hm, a small question. I am wondering, do one just send in the Aldens to the company if they need restoration? Are there any requirements?

Re: Darn Alden Price increase but I bought 'em and they're h

I just got my Alden 405s. I must say that these are comfortable, but I must agree that the cork sole is bit slippery during ice and snow. I live in Norway, and we experience quite a lot of snow between November and February/March. But hey, what don't you sacrifice for SA \:D/ ?

If I knew how to do it..I would definately dye my pants which in my opinion..is far to dark. By the way, I also have a LL bean 100% Cotton shirt - do anyone know if it's possible to dye it to a lighter color?

Nice gear!! I personally like all the color combinations...my gas mask bag is just as green as yours so don't worry  , I like it that way too. I also think that the jacket fits you quite well. Have do done anything to the jacket like weather or anything? It looks quite good. My personal gear i...

I got my wested today too! I love the jacket, it's great..it just looks too new and too clean. I'm not sure whether I should weather this by wearing it, or by artificial weathering...it feels bad to start beating up the leather

I would definately go in full gear...but choose to keep the gun holster at home, in case people mistaken me to be armed.

Anyone in Trondheim, Norway who is planning to show up in full gear at the premiere?
