Seeing threads like this helps me from getting too nervous about my own order, from May 2008. I know that it really has no bearing on when I'll get my hat, but it is comforting to know the wheels are still turning.

I can't recommend Endicott's highly enough. The MKVII they sent me remains one of my prized possessions.

Seriously, though, I find long pants, wool included, aren't that bad unless the days are extremely hot and humid. I think it all comes down to personal tolerances.

First instinct was the hat, but after a little thought, I'd have to say my boots.

My Aldens are the most comfortable shoes I've owned in a long time. I think about gel inserts sometimes, but only if I've had to walk a few miles.

I like the raiders jacket best. I agree that while the distressing was appropriate for later films, the jacket didn't look as good.

Well, I'd say the biggest hints are in the drip clues. Archaeology sometimes requires that you dig deep into the past. Remember, Kevin and Endicott's have had a long history with this forum... How long, I wonder? And as I said before, the DRIP CLUES really helped me when I was SEARCHing for answers.

I will confirm here (and have sent a message to Kevin) that I am still in. I had discovered a little shortcut that I brought to Kevin's attention, and offered to drop out if it proved to be an unfair advantage, but he has assured me that it will be utterly useless in the final round. :D I don't know...

There is a difference, actually...

Schmidty's Aldens are $270, instead of $320.

Other than that, they are the same quality etc. that you would purchase from any other retailer. Brand new shoes with no defects.

Walking into someone's house, definitely. Walking into work, I usually take it off by the time I get to the elevator.

Walking around a mall, not necessarily, though usually if I'm going to be indoors for any length of time it is too warm to wear a hat for long.
