I'm....ummm..."husky" with a 17 inch neck and 230 lbs or so. An XL U.S. Wings is plenty big on me. I'd go with the large if I were you.

It wasn't bad. Went for a couple of evening walks in a U.S. Wings goat and was perfectly comfortable.

I only do own one and if I knew then what I knew now, I'd made the same choice: a Wested Raiders in distressed hide. I'm just awestruck by the overall quality. I was sipping drinks in the uber-fancy Willard Hotel, about 150 yards from the White House, in it Wednesday evening.

Amen! I've owned one pair of Bill's in the past, and they're built to take it. Unfortunately, they shrank when mistakenly tossed in a hot dryer (yep, I had KP that day :roll: ), and I've never been able to reverse the shrinkage. :( Regards! I use both. The cream over the entire boot, but Pecards on the areas that flex the most. Pecards provides lubrication for the leather fibers to pass by each other in an area that has been flexed, so you don't have break through at a cracked area. Regards! I don't know about this particular item but I am a huge Orvis fan and have bought tons of stuff from them over the years. Recently, though, I've stopped as they've begun making more and more of their stuff in China.
