Bomber Jacket

Post by Risu »

I got this jacket a little while ago and I was wondering if anybody here could tell me what kind of jacket it is and what leather it's made of. I think its an A2, but I'm no expert. As for the leather, the jacket is very heavy and very distressed.

Not an A2. Other than that I don't know!

Good luck!

It's an A2 style jacket - looks like it came from a menswear shop in a mall. Probably distressed lamb, but could be cowhide. In the 1980's there were many hundreds of these A2 inspired jackets around.

I've only got my Wested to compare it to, but I never would have guessed this was lambskin. I figured probably cowhide, the jacket is very heavy.

Have you tried posting the question at The Fedora Lounge? Lot of A2 experts there.

Basically a very pre-distressed cow hide A2 wannabe. Very 80's by the look of it. I has a Schott Bros. jacket in the mid 80's that loked very similar to this specimen. The only difference being that the one I got had zippered patch pockets instead of the flap. It looked very similar to the one Fred Ward wore in Remo Williams.
Looks like it's seen plenty of miles. Wear it in good or any health!

Cheers!
