I ordered one on a Friday and it came two weeks later on Thursday. Not sure what day it was shipped. Ordered another yesterday -- Saturday -- so that won't fly out before Monday. As I recall, the cost was about US$63.00! Is there a better VALUE out there?

Well, the facings add to the wearability and specifically durability of the jacket. But I don't like them, particularly since they make the jacket lining heavier and a little bulkier. If only someone would photograph them under the same lighting conditions! Pecan was a popular color through the 1940's. I like Walnut and Almond as well, though one needs to see what the Hatmaker is using since there are no absolute standards.

Possible to need a different size since this Fed IV is smaller than the Fed III. Not sure how the new measurement actually breaks down into inches-around-head.

I think Navy, Charcoal, and of course Black would make excellent choices. I'd order with a 2-inch ribbon -- personal preference and true-to-period.
