It's great for carrying stuff, unfortunately it sometimes isn't big enough to accommodate some of my usual accessories e.g. A4 Sketch pad. You do get some funny looks, but "man bags" are becoming fashionable at the moment so I just pretend to be a trend setter.

I'll probably give it a go anyway just to see. At the moment I'm having second thoughts about the Federation and now am seriously thinking about forking the extra £40 for the Deluxe. I want the hat to be my traveling hat so I want it to last for ages... but the federation is so cheap to many choices...

I saw one of those books at a local book shop. I thought the cover looked and felt a little like those cheap plastic leather effect covers that you can get. Are the books real leather or fake effect leather?

Mine doesn't smell that much. I think Noel Howard must have his ones washed before he sends them out. The only problem is the strong smell of leather from the strap.

I like the strap of the NH but not so much the buckel. Although the buckel for the strap during the temple scene at the start of Raiders looks a lot like the NH one, was this scene filmed first and the buckel changed after?

What’s the material like on the WPG. The Mk VII is made from a very heavy strong canvas material, which is probably why you can still use them today with out causing too much damage to them. Also what’s the stitching like on the WPG compared to the Mk VII?

I don't know why people call it a purse, I have never seen a purse with a 65"+ strap before, its has more of a messenger bag quality I think.

Is that why indy always looks bolt upright when he’s geared up. Like in TOD just after the scene when Willie says “Lets get out of here” and indy replies “Yeah… All of us” then goes and saves the little kids.

Not the original precious Mk VII. I wouldn’t let a single drop of water hit my precious. If you’re talking about the WPG bag that’s fine as there is a (for all intense and purposes) endless supply of those, while original Mk VII’s are like gold dust now.

My real Mk VII is an olive green colour with a bit of tan wheres its faded the most. I personally think that the indy look calls more for the faded tan look from olive green then a pure olive green. That looks great. The pre-distressed cowhide looks to be a better colour match to the films jackets but I notice it seems to be a bit more crumpled and is catching a few shadows which may be giving the impression of a darker hide.
