I just got my Todd whip today, and I'm pretty impressed! I'm not a super-accomplished whipslinger by any means, and I can't compare it to the real expensive whips, but it'll do a pretty mean over-arm crack. It seems lively and responsive, and to my amateur eye the construction seems all right. And t...

Well, if it's wool, water will shrink it and steam will REALLY shrink it. The only thing that might work is to put stiffdener in the hat. But probably the biggest thing to consider is this: does your 6 year old think it looks goofy, or do you think it looks goofy. If your son loves the hat as is, t...

How can I get a wool hat to hold it's shape?

Bought a wool raider's hat for my 6 year old.... "Good enough" type of crown, but most of the time when he jams it on his head, the brim stays completely flat, which looks ridiculous. Before I destroy the hat in an attempt to get the brim to droop down in front, and the sides to curl up a ...

The WPG is HUGE. I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, 44 chest, 34 waist and 17 neck, and the Large is so big that it billows out all over no matter how hard you tuck it in. And it's so short for a guy my height (ironically, about the same as Indy) I was thinking about using DuctTape to hold it in. I even spent ...

This is my Wested authentic dark-brown lamb. Too shiny originally, I started with just acetone to try to reduce the shine. That didn't do enough so I took the big leap to sandpaper. I'm ready to order a Wested, but the "authentic brown lambskin" looks, to me, a lot lighter brown than what we see in the movies. I am leaning toward the "dark brown lambskin."
