I've heard conflicting accounts on whether lanolin is just fine or disastrous for whips. I can't say for sure myself because I've only ever used Pecard's... I got a tin of it for about 15 USD from Amazon, but maybe the prices are a lot more in the EU :-k I wouldn't know, I've only ever visited Euro...

Ok, I understand the lighter comment now. That is only meant for a paracord fall, not for leather. Also for a leather fall, where you do not have that end-stop, you might want to leave a longer "nub" if you are going to use that method. And if you choose another method to attach the crack...

The problem now it seems is that the pinch has been hard imprinted to the fur felt or something. I have tried So many times now to lower the pinch but it keeps going back to default height ( 5,5") when I'm trying to lower it to 4". It's like it is impossible to remove previous work on it.

Neither are good whips when it comes to cracking, aesthetically Magnoli is better, but if you want a whip that looks nice and cracks decently, I’d go with Todd’s Costumes. Magnoli's version is the way to go, even the non-deluxe version, since they are made quite well, in veg-tan leather if I remember correctly. It is also made to look the part.
