That sounds about right for the work involved. My gunsmith charged me $100 for cutting and crowning the barrel, pinning and soldering the sight, and then doing touch-up with cold bluing. I would think Indy would go for the revolver, every time. If he was sourcing ammunition from locales around the globe there would be no telling if he had hot or sub par loads. This wouldn't be an issue with the revolver, but could play havoc with a semi-auto that relies on consistency in back pressu...

I have not bought from him, but this guy on Etsy makes and sells a pretty good representation of the Stembridge version of Indy's pistol. They pop up in his shop quite frequently. There are a few videos of Aldens getting a resole with different types of materials on YouTube... IMO using anything other than the original style of neo-cork soles changes the profile and character of the original boot. They loose that "Indy" flavor and turn into just another moc-toe boot...

I used one of the holders in a three hour hike one day, and a seven hour hike the other day. They kept the whip nicely in place. The whip's fall was also coiled tightly around the whip, to keep it from unraveling. You went for a seven hour hike with a bullwhip... there is clearly more to this adven...
