Citric acid is one of the less nasty, eco-friendly solvents I've found. Leaves your hat smelling like an orange grove, too. ;) Whatever product you use, remember to BLOT the spot with a clean white cloth. Rubbing will just work the now-softened goo into the felt. If you can get that free zip replacement per Michaelson, sounds like the best course would be to fix it, clean it up and flip it. I've had the sleeves shortened on two jackets now, it would be nice to find one with no work needed.

Last evening is was just cool enough to wear a fedora for our daily trip to the dog park. I keep her leash, tennis ball, and poop bags in a khaki haversack (NOT my vintage Mk VII!), so we had an Indy-and-his-dog thing going. Will be adding the jacket soon, I hope. :)
