Just got a new pair of Parkhurst Niagara boots, they’d made a great Alden Indy alternative if you’re looking to wear them regularly as well as for cosplay. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230907/6164b547bb064f6eb3f6a59f7c40455b.jpg https://www.parkhurstbrand.com/collections/fall-winter-23 Sent f...

Re: All of the "Close Enough" Boots?
Those Parkhurst Niagara boots DO look great. But at $400, they're still pretty pricey. Definitely still a nice chunk of change, but a pair of Alden Indys in Chromexel, with a similar outsole, will set you back between $650-700. I’m also local to western New York where parkhurst originated, so for m...

Just an FYI, the main site fedora page has just been updated (had to wait for Disney approval) with some interesting tidbits on the DoD hat. :TOH: We'll be allowed to share more here in the "members only" section than what we could on a public-facing page, but I'm going to wait until I co...

Re: Adam Savage and the original Temple of Doom fedora!
It was curious to see the color difference in the ribbon on the ToD hat vs Adam’s AB. Is that due to the wrong color on AB or because the ToD hat is much older? The original Raiders and Temple ribbons were slightly different hues to begin with. Raiders is the darkest brown with Temple and Crusade h...

Re: To turn, or NOT to turn...?
While we are on the subject, I'm not so sure that every hat that Harrison wore in Raiders had the turn. Certainly, there are scenes where the turn is very obvious, such as the Idol Grab, Raven Bar, and Streets of Cairo. But in the opening scenes of the film when he uses his whip to disarm his hired...

Re: To turn, or NOT to turn...?
If you’ve got a favorite scene in Raiders maybe go for how the hat looks there? Just an idea. When it comes to a Raiders look you can’t go wrong in my opinion. Turn, or otherwise [emoji1783][emoji1303]

I’d bet they’re not great. Just sort of a fun novelty to grab if you’re in the shop and pick up a jacket. From the website they just look like cheap costume hats. And hey that’s enough for some people.
