First time on this forum for sometime and this.....spoke to Peter many times. We were in the process of him making a repro M422a for me. He was giving me a discount to his usual bespoke prices as I think he was looking forward to making it. Great chap.

Really awesome lid, my friend! Could you provide some specs on it? Did you get the "Smoke-grey" or the "steel-grey"? What felt stiffness and are you happy with that choice? Also, any chance of a pic of the liner? Thanks and congrats on finding your holy grail! Really great hat! ...

Advintage Grey Clipper Fedora

I have always been fascinated by the 'Clipper' fedora. I think it was the mystery that surrounded it. Was it brown, grey? Ribbon colour, width etc? There was also nothing available that looked right to my eyes. Charcoal was too dark, granite too light. Then suddenly Thomas from Advintage had a smoke...

The felt is not really the limiting. Issue on being able to fold or roll a hat for travel. (Other than obviously western hats with 40 lbs of stiffener in them). The limitation is the sweatband. Akubras have a wire reed in the sweatband that will kink if you fold the hat. Penman, Adventurebilt and G...
