Wells Lamont 1123 Specifications
While visiting an old hardware store to obtain some plexiglass last friday, I discovered a rather abundant supply of WL 1130s. All of the gloves where of the desireable variety (no palm add on), and most being a darker yellow. Also, none had a wrist border. I went through some old posts, and recall ...

I also recieved that email. I doubt they'll even get a single order now that Wested is in the game. It just doesn't make any sense to spend that much cash for a shirt and a pair of pants, when you can get the enitre base of the costume (shirt, pants and jacket) from wested for practically the same p...

I reccomend you devise a way to refasten the disks after drilling the rivet from the inside of the bag. There should be a small round cardboard or plastic-like washer there. You could just drill off the larger end of the rivet from the inside, switch your disks, then put a dab of epoxy on the 'washe...

After owning a few bags I must say I now prefer the lighter color... though I like a slighlty darker value than the WPG replica. If you have a really dark green bag, it stands out against the rest of the costume. In my opinion, the bag sgould follow the muted earth tones of the rest of the gear so i...

My A-2 Style Jacket (with pictures)
I originally posted this jacket in the gear section, and I realize now that that was the wrong place for this post. My aplogies to the forum mods for my mistake. Still, it was established that this was nto an original A-2, as the pockets have the warmer slits on the side. Many thanks to Rick for the...

The Bag Strap Buckle
I always spot the buckles on the nazis in Raiders, as they look identical to the one Indy has one his strap. They appear to be off combat suspenders, though I have been unable to find an exact match. Take a look at the dvd of the first shot when the nazis are shown inside the truck during the chase....

I find the best way to get that distressed broken in around the edges look is too redye your bag. This is of course, if your are displeased with a tan or light green MkVII. While I've only ever done it once, the results where fantastic. Once you dye the bag that just right shade green run it through...

Yeah Swindy, it works way better (and safer) than ironing. You don't even have to use wood blocks, just pack it full with something and it will be all good. Makes the fabric a little stiffer initially too, kind of like towels off the clothes line... except you shouldn't press the bag against your we...

Sure thing, but it'll have to wait until tuesday as I won't have a digital camera until then. The leather is very heavy, making me think its the real deal. The Talon zipper looks to be aluminum... not brass like the old WW2 A-2s I've found online... so I'm guessing if its a genuine military issue ja...

A-2 from thrift store. Original?
I just bought an A-2 style jacket form a thrift store for $25. Since i can't aford a wested till after halloween I figured why not. It fits me great, the leather is broken in but tough. The tag is gone, and the lining is some silly polyester quilt, looks like it might no be the original lining. The ...

Did you guys see that? The bag stayed at $36, then $51... and all of the sudden... $105 sunday afternoon. I mean, I didn't buy the bag just to turn a profit as I stated before, but I was shocked it went for so much. I didn't expect it to go much higher than $51. Anyway, if I could continue to sell b...

I put a really stained not so good bag in the wash on the hardest hottest setting possible, hoping it would remove more of the discoloration.
